lol. he/she treated me well as i encountered him first time several month ago ,when i was even a noob. i played him a 1vs1,he kicked my butt in about 40turns.i asked for a rematch,he replyed me politely,"no,thx" i cant imagine he is such a rude person. To get a proper MLL'ing you got to first be on his team and lose, then you can be in for a special little treat yeah, now i know that MakeLoveLady behaving good manner when win but being rude when lost ;D

Why dont you post a list of chages? I'm sure primax can do it, given a list. I wish you the best of luck with this mod, and i hope this will bring some new-life to MP, but sadly i dont think it will be popular, for the following reasons: 1) New thinking is often rejected by alot of the ladder, it has taken a majorty of players 2 years to get to a half decent level, after much observing and repeating. Without upsetting anyone ... why do you think so many only play occ? (same thing game in game out, just how they like it). 2) Loading a mod is annoying as hell, i hosted a really fun UUMadess game last week (I think both teams would agree it was rather fun) but i doubt any of them have played it since, or will agian for quite some time. What makes mods 100 times more annoying then people realise is, not everyone can see the game, even if they have loaded the same mod - so they have to be direct IP-ed in, and if by mistake you direct IP a guy who doesnt have the correct file (previous version or whatever) the game will OOS. Put simply its annoying as hell, and all to often take AGES! 3) Most ladder players wont know about this mod and those that do will not bother advertising. Personally speaking i just join the first decent game on the game list, these are the games that fill up the fastest and thus the most popular - Trust me, these days no one is willing to wait 40 mins for a game, hence elite teamers are very rare now. There are others reasons too! As i said i really hope this takes off, but I would be shocked if it does! good idea for mgt and good percipience for tony.here is my suggestion 1)make threads on CFC for help where it seems more modder gathered. 2)integrate your mod and the original game into one single .exe pack, have it well compressed and release it on emule and every major torrent site, guarantee a faster connection with a powerful server working by day and night cuz ppl will choose the fastest and smallest source.it could be better if u can make a "greenversion" without any installation process, yeah.then everyone will download the modified version instead of the original one so that they will accecpt the "new thinking"naturally. ;Dlast, ask a lawyer for some tips if there is any legal problem here but i believe it can be well manipulated.

The end of the story:i successfully frustrated this sneak and won at last, which is totally within my previous calculation. your attitudes towards 'losing a city" reflect your superficialness of understanding of this game. 'attack' is a double-blade sword, wanner harm someone£¿hurt yourself first.attack will take both you and your enemy in developing and expanding disadvantages.so my standard for a successful attack doesnt depend on destroying one city or something on the surface but on the calculation result:the risk vs reward.u do more harm to your enemy than yourself,u put yourself in strategic advantage put your enemy in strategic disadvantage, then it is a successful attack, vice versa. for my account golem625,i registered this name cuz it completely accords with MGT's definition of noobish name which sounds not creative.i used to play under this name for some casual games but i find i still cant help myself winning games.for the game vs crypto i lost 2 skirmishes(one of which has a training 1 promotion) guarding a settler vs 1 nonfortified unpromotioned archer in the plain woods, and i lost the game.i admit i sucked in this game not because the combat odd is rediculous but the reward/risk percentage for this attack is so small that i shouldnt attack at all. for the game vs tony,i had get such a huge advantage just as in this game vs lespoul but tony didnt have any express of surrounding at all ,which u must admit were a strategy like "MGT's brunch" as a trial of my patience and a torture of my nerves.so i said"lets make a draw"with the utmost goodness to reserve tony some selfesteem, but the result is that he answered "yeah,u cant defeat me" in 12/12 confidence.lol for my other names like "everybodysdar1ing" "..a..tommynt",""ewrfeafdsa' and so on,i have won enough games to deserve the honor of being "NGT".

play duel vs some newbie, have a score 2 times more than him on turn 50. suddenly a stack of imp comes into my sight near my capital at the last second of the turn------double move and assault, without question. the reason why i dont like zulu lies both in the concept that to hook your victory with the risk of having some rescources nearby is newbiesome behaviour and double-move simply mean.for me,if my capital is sneakattacked i just build it again in 3 turns. so....his troop is totally terminated in my territory at a cost of 1 city which i rebuild it just in 3 turns. after 15 turns,i scout his another stack of imp/chariot assembling on the hill near that new city--same stack, same route, same double move and ofcourse, same being lost. i mock his efforts:"u suck,u sneak,u repeat"he gets angry and threats me he will put me in the "penalty box" afterward i login in the laddermainpage, only being informed"golem625 is not found ".then i must be deleted the account, cant believe it,is he really an admin of the ladder?

mirror duel is not a good map for 1vs1 the best map setting for an 1vs1 :
mirror tiny low sea temperate climate no city elimination 140turns or more
it's very fair, not resource dependent and requires an all-sided mastery of the game.choose any civ u want, create your unique strategy, wonderful.

When people pick resource dependent civs in a mirror game and cry that they lost because they didn't have the resource I usually will take the win I got from them and let them wallow in loss of pride. The reason for this is that the player fully understands that if they get a given resource they have an advantage and lack of a or any resources will put them at a disadvantage. I used to play maya because I don't like to gamble like that, but if you do like to gamble and are unable to accept the consequences than you don't deserve a second game. thumb up

As a person considered one of the greatest if not the greatest civ playeres ever , I felt obligated to share a brief message via black berry before watching david seamons live in mexico city. Its been around 40 days since I have played civ " not bad?" As a man who plays and knows about most every game on earth through personal or impersonal experience I believe that civ in" theory" is the most strategic and thought demanding game out. I feel that it is a shame that civ has evolved away from strategy and towards an assumed greater probability of marketability, but I understand. The reason of this message is to notify the people I respect that I am still looking" on a continual basis" for a challenge when it comes to video games and I would appreciate it if you kept me aware of the new games you are playing. I would very much enjoy playing alongside or even against some of you in new games. My email address is mrgametheory@hotmail.com and my aim name is mrgametheory . Please notify me if you discover a very challening or entertaining game and I will try it out. Us professional gamers need to stick together and I don't want to lose touch with worthy opponents, especially when they are so hard to come by. As one of the first players of bts I feel that the game has lost enough strategic depth to not be worth an investment of my time, but I will try out civ for x box. Until that comes out please feel free to notify me whenever you encounter a great game of any kind. I may still pop into bts here and there, but at this point I have begun looking for something better. Pardon the spelling mistakes I wrote this on my phone. Sent via BlackBerry jeah£¬now even most of the civplayers in the laggy third world country have been filled with admiration under your reputation and fame ,cuz i have had made a thread about u named"the legendary figure in civ history" ;D MGT:The Legendits in chinese, but u must be familiar with some illustrations in it. i dont think so.there is no substantial difference between a poolshark and a sportsman.for example,in china ppl play war3&cs all day long were considered wastrels, however they become sportsman as soon as the national administration of sport lists "electronic sport" as the 99th formal sport.
so,i think anyone can do well in anything proves his personal value, whether it deserves or not deserve the social value.
we come here to play civ, your civ skill is the only standard for your value here.if u suck,u must listen to those good players like martinlee, matlowe, and ofcourse,Mrgametheory.

Most entertaining that some of these heroes are just figuring out old practices of this game. u dont understand! do u take it seriously and really think MGT has no idea with these old game concepts? nope! MGT did it purposively as a form of educating mass.he told a story hoping one day some of u can understand and realize the true meaning he have planted in the story so u can have a deeper comprehension for this game. now u all have a good sense to firststrikes.so the lesson has been taught.class over boy.
