Ok ... I've installed Warlords and updated Pitboss. Just to confirm we join a pitboss game like any other right ?
We will see it listed in the lobby or do we direct IP to this at noon on Sunday ?
Please email details.
I have no preference for civilizations.
I prefer no barbs.
And from what I'm reading above one of the players will be absent on Sunday so I presume we will just be starting and the game will pause at that point ?

There is the ability to integrate this with Trillium but I agree it's not the nicest looking ... its still functional. If you want Trillium instructions perhaps DTA would be good enough to post them when time allows.

Interesting thread. Not sure how it's gone from a complaint about installing a game to attacks on administrators and other ladder members but whatever.
-----------
Maxfin.
Not sure if you still have the game but if you would like some help I would be happy to try.
To start lets learn more about your specific system:
What system do you have ?
Provide OS, Processor size, RAM ? What graphics card and graphics memory size ? That would be a start.
Assuming its all up to par, I would suggest, if you haven't already done so ... try uninstalling all CIV games. Be sure to delete the folders after and the deletion of the registry entries left over. There are several. A good registry cleaner will help with that.
I can help you in more detail by email if you would like. I've found that the majority of pc problems can be remedied with some careful editing of the registry and clean up of old files including the temp files. It might also be a good idea to bring your Directx version up to the right level prior to installing.
If you are playing CIV3 still then you need to install that first and then CIV4. Anways Maxfin email me if you would like some help and I'll be happy to try.

ok isn't this getting a little out of hand ... I post a comment about not being very involved recently and suggest we need to more participation in the ladder forum ... and now I see it starting to go down the road of attacking other ladder members. Sometimes I wonder why we bother. This thread is locked as it is totally off topic from what I intended.

Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been giving CIV a bit of a break due to work demands.
Nice to see the ladder forum here is getting more air play but we need to encourage more members to check it and participate.
What is the status of a new patch btw ?

Nah ... it's because you don't have to look at each other in the face. ;D
But ... we're getting off topic.
Everyone please post your actual game turns here if you're feeling creative.

A great nation has been founded by descendants of Charlemagne.
The first stone of Paris was raised from the slop of surrounding marshes.
Now the women of Paris bend over to copulate and receive the bounty of great Frankish men, and labour to bear witness to the fruit of their loins !
Warriors after their celebrations and partaking in the pleasures run about the country side wondering ... are we alone or are there unknown civilizations awaiting our discovery ?

This thread is for each civilization to get creative and advertise their civilization ... newsclips, stories of great battles and accomplishments. When reporting battles in PBEM or Pitboss games it is good form to list losses on both sides.

Just to update and close this thread. Stinca apparently won a diplomatic victory (damn UN). He deserved it but I feel as if I am robbed and had a premature ejaculation from the game, and didn't get my jollies finishing off Colonel Treize. Oh well it was a fun game while it lasted. I'll have to enjoy my Chianti without the liver.

Viking Times
Today our glorious armies continue the onslaught against the Thai dogs that defile this earth with their presence !
The Battle of Chiang Mai begins in the north with a battle off the coast where our people become martyrs for the cause and enjoy the privilege of a 1000 virgins for each warrior lost.
In the end after a pitched battle with the second destroyer of our navy ... we are victorious. We hold the heads of the Thai scum under the water and watch their tongues distend and turn blue.
NO PRISONERS ! NO PRISONERS ! are screamed through streets of Warnington as our citizens revel in the news from the front.
Muhah !

The Viking Times
In the year of lord 1810 AD the glorious armies of the Vikings have attacked the evil Thais who have taunted us for centuries. Our warlords were crying for some action. Leave the sitting on the fence they screamed ...and then they cut off the defense ministers head and pulled his pants up over the stump.
The Viking ramble cry ... Bring down the UN ! Burn it to the ground. WAR ! Thats what we're good for.
(battle report) Thailand: cannon, rifleman and grenadiers killed on the uranium mine south of Phucket. Phucket suffers 51 % reduction in defences from destroyer bombardment.
Vikings - no losses advance on Phucket and plunder town on the border

The Ministry of Defense announced today that our borders are closed with Thailand. This was decided to be a wise decision in light of the war erupting between Thailand and Incans. We wish to demonstrate our neutrality. Also wandering Thai priests have been asked to leave. Citizens are advised if you see Thai priests that by national decree of the government, the giving of alms to foreign priests is now forbidden. Citizens found doing so will be flogged.
The Ministry of Trade advises that all closing of borders has resulted in the loss of ivory. We're happy to report that this cancellation now upholds the decision of the world court to prohibit ivory trade.
Our citizens have made a northern expedition to an undisclosed location to establish a uranium mine. Nuketon is born but citizens are experiencing strange headaches and ability to see through things. More investigations to follow and will be reported soon
Be Brave. Be Strong. Be Vikings !

Today the Viking nation rejoices at the news our brave expeditionary force of Beserkers have landed on coast of the Ottomans and sacked their remote eastern city. From a report at the front dispatched today by carrier pigeon ...
The Ottoman city's citizens appealed for mercy but we took the mayor and buried him sand up to his neck and celebrated in glee as the sea birds pecked out his eyes. Any of the citizens that protested were made to eat what the birds didn't finish. We then lit fire to the city.
To end the most glorious of days our frigate then attacked and sunk a frigate coming to the city's rescue. We heard the sobs of the women for their menfolk coming from Istanbul
GAME NOTE: Well piss in my beer why don't you. Appears the game decided to do the nasty on me with the reload due to the vassal mistake ... and you guessed it my frigate was not successful this time. Crap !
