I've seen that in other games too, it gets longer the bigger the map & the further into the game. It doesn't seen to do any harm.

Yeah, the turn rollover delay just seems to be a property of the game. Perhaps it's organising unit moves, sending out emails, notifying civstats, or whatever.

I had a crash and lost the save that was partially played at AD-520. Necro, Igloo, and Emp need to replay it. The others had not played it yet.

The mysterious network socket error again.
Loaded save with Igloo, ToT, Emperor and Pagan having played the turn. 18 1/2 hours remain on the clock.
When I loaded PitBoss it gave me a long string of warnings. I hope this isn't a problem.

Whip ... just asking do you have a firewall installed ? Ever mucked around with your TCP/IP settings RWIN or MTU ? Do you know what the full error message is ... are there any assoc return codes ? Do you have logging on in the game ? Perhaps we can forward the network log next time it happens ?
I've noted that if I am the last person to play the turn, the game freezes up and the turn does not advance. I frequently see afterwards that you suffered a network socket error at this time. Now its not only me ... because its happened other times too when I wasn't the last person to play the turn.
Just trying to help ... you can tell me to butt out if you like ;D

No firewall.
They weren't error messages they were warnings. There was a long string of them and I can't capture them from command prompt ancient DOS.

Everyone should make sure that they hit "Exit to Main Menu" and not "Exit to Desktop" when they leave the game. I'm fairly sure that that was originally the cause of one of the bugs with Pitboss crashing. (Not sure if it's what's causing the problem in this case though.)

When I was in a small town trying to log on using some borrowed Wi-Fi, I would always get the socket error message and couldn't login to direct IP's or the main lobby. Tried a few different sources so I know it wasn't only the one network. Probably doesn't have squat to do with this problem but figured I'd throw it in there.

I needed to reboot due to some other action on this comp. Game was only down a couple of minutes, and you've already played this turn. Only one not played yet is WarningU2.

Power outage overnight. Elucidus and Pagan have 2 1/2 hours to play the turn on the reload.

(Important) Note for Conquistador: I am trying to avoid to double-moves but for the next turn I only have a very small time slot since I am going to be offline for at least 36 hours. Provided there is no power outage, socket errors and what have you I will play my next turn tomorrow between 12 - 13 CET. It would be great if you could play yours (in the possibly small period of time) before.
