Just so all know, this was my second "free" benchmark and to not report to me, however from now on I report at all benchmarks. ;D
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

In case you all did not get Stinciv's e-mail he says that he is taking a break from civ. I will kick him to the AI.

Is it the norm to have such a high turnaround for pitboss games?

In case you all did not get Stinciv's e-mail he says that he is taking a break from civ. I will kick him to the AI. Per Whip's request, I'm taking over for Stinciv. Though the CivStats thing this morning (7:38AM) looks pretty spazzy. Elucidus, could you bear with me until I log in and look around tonight?

Civstats is running now.
Ig, just to bring you up to speed:
WarningU2 is on vacation with moves queued so every turn will go the full 22 hours until he returns; I think on the 25th.
Ramdom is an AI. I did not recruit a human player for his civ as I didn't want to stick anybody with a crap situation. Random has poor land and is presently being pounded by one of the players here.
I do have the auto notice e-mail running so enter your addy using ALT - D.
Please send me your e-mail addy so I can add it to the mailing group. whiplash@wi.rr.com

I once again feel that I need to apologize to you all. So here it is I am sorry that I quit in such a manner, I guess it is the stress at my job and such, but I was so tired of this game as a whole. I was tired of this new breed of civers that came with the upgrade to CIV as well. Anyway I again am sorry and someday I hope that if I return you would all give me a chance to play against you all.

There is need for a sub in a game being run at Strategamers. It's early in the game and it should be an ok civ.

You know, this "starting at the top" thing is pretty cool...

I am back from vacation and will resume the game. I think I owe one report to everyone ... is that correct. Appears to have been a bit of drama during my absense ps I have no concern over queued moves or being away ... my position in this game is a joke but I enjoy the game for what it is and have no qualms about what happens. If I can just start a fire I will be happy. ;D

U2 is a little confused. ;D The IP for this game has not changed, but I got that "network socket" error again. I have no clue what causes that. Game back up with 8 1/2 hours to go for 6 players. www.civstats.com/viewgame.php?gameid=247

It has happened a second time - since I'm the last to move in the previous turn, I hit <enter> and the turn rolls over... except it doesn't. I can't move or change anything, the timer sits at "22:00" and Civstats doesn't even show the end of my previous turn. Then about 5 minutes later (long after I've exited out to Main Menu) the turn actually does roll over.
Odd.
Oh, and it seems to me (and I recall reading somewhere that it was a known bug) that sometimes text does not come through on diplo offers, which is yet another good reason to contact someone via PM, civstats diplo, or something like that instead of making unexpected offers in-game.

diplomacy in the game doesn't work properly unless both players are online ... I have on occassion got it to send a message to someone offline but very oftenits just blank

For whatever cause there is a delay on the turnover. I've noticed that too.
