well, and if possible no diplomatic victory. I dont want to see the posts if that will realy happen I second that. No reason to have it ON in any serious game.

UQC is BS.
1.) Halving the tech and production costs leads to situations where the early wonders like the oracly or the pytamids are completed by multiple players at the same turn. - I've had a UQC OCC game where 3 players had the pyramids in the same turn. - You don't really have to micro manage your city for every single hammer, because it simply doesn't matter. Now, how much fun is it?
2.) The regular OCC games are still more popular than UQC. People play UQC only because they have to practice for the CCC. But the mortal ladders don't bother to load the mod. Most don't even have it installed.
To put 2 UQC events into the CCC right as its been developed only because its been a huge succes in CIV3 iand although it is not played in CIV at all, is absurd.
Bring the regular OCC Cton back!

Personnaly i love all occ but still prefer the UQC because it does an OCC ironman really fun where you have lot of choice of tactics. I dont think there is problems with wonders done same turn because you can win less pyramids, GL ... I didnt try the uqc no occ but i think it is as the original game but faster, funnier and more tense, wow that should be really really exciting, more that an boring ancient already

UQC is simply another 'era' for OCC. About as different from regular OCC as Ancient from Rene. By now pretty much all the same strategies have been adapted for UQC OCC as people use in the regular one, and I'll endeavour to say UQC OCC has more variety than Rene or Indu. Ancient OCC is the true original game in my opinion, but nobody plays it these days. Most of the OCC ladder games are Rene. So the question is really: why isn't Rene OCC represented in the CCC? Until now it was - as a teamer, but it was there. Now it's not there anymore. And it's the single most popular type of OCC.

We've been discussing that during the qualif of the Ironman :
Do we really need to play on Toroidal ? Seems (once again) that nobody of the 4 qualified wanted to play it on Toroidal...
Can we switch to flat ? Of course, with such short notice, that would require that all of the 8 finalist agree to do so. (I'm willing to ask before the launch tommorow)

zzhennon if you can't find anyone who wants to make the mod for you let me know whats need to be implemented and I will make it for you.
If you have any ideas for a mod yell out and I'll see what I can do.

I've always though multi team games would be fun...but there is always the issue of accusations of clan teaming to kill another clan, and just like in normal ladder ctons, it's hard to prove the difference between cooperating and just taking advantage of targets of opportunity. I don't read all the posts, so maybe there was a modification to the rules... But when looking at the top 8 teams that qualify for Sunday in the CCC, the CCC event description (for event 10) states that only the top 8 teams "after the first 7 events" qualify. According to this, I thought that whoever won the ancient match between FUN and MoJo would qualify for the Sunday events... How did SD2R end up qualifying when they only had 2 points after the first 7 events and FUN had 5 points after the first 7 events?
Personally, I believe instead of it being the first 7 events, it should be the first 9 events. Was that change ever announced somewhere else?
