Then again, that's why since WWII, the US military has had like a 10-1 kill rate in its conflicts with that gap widening with every conflict. I thought that was becuase 9/10 kills were civilians

biggest bs ever - d have forgotten allready but then i saw this - our team was 1. 2nd and 3rd in everything and still lost Yes Tommy and you if you look at the power graph when islandia died our team was beyond dominating. But as will says, there's something called tactics. Please remember slaughter wasn't killed by an overwhelming land assault but by a clever amphibious assault on an underprotected city. In fact it seems to me that Islandia was under heavy fire from you guys at the time and if our boat attack had failed the game would've gone a lot different.

3 vs 6 lol in terms of units. I doubt a single unit from lporiginal fought your team and only 4 units of mine. Your team had spammed out plenty of units so you'd have more than the 4 (at most) civs that were up against you in reality. I don't know all that was going on in your lands, but obviously those units weren't used to best advantage for all your 'dominance'. I actually sent a smack load of artillery and panzers their way. My artillery made a nice distraction on slaughter while mark got his boats prepped to take the back city.

This is a pretty sweet show for comic book fans, I finally got around to finishing season 1 today.
I'd say for sure Hiro's father has power since he seems to be one of the founding members of the organization that Noah worked for which seemed to be linked to the other OG's (linderman, grandma pattrelli and uh, the old black guy) I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if Hiro's sister also has powers, but what those powers may be we will have to wait to see.
There's one glaring flaw starring me in the face although I don't think I was paying close enough attention in the last few episodes cause I was getting kinda bored but...if Niki was there when Peter was suppose to explode then why was she alive in the future as Peter's girlfriend? Did anyone see any reason for this? The problem with time travel is that nuts almost never makes sense once you introduce this element to a story.
Also, I'm sure I must've missed this but what happened to the Haitian? Last I remember seeing him he was at Nathan Pattrelli's place hanging out with grandma when the cheerleader showed up looking for Peter, but I don't remember seeing him again and kept asking myself, why isn't he around? Could he be the person that Molly (the finder) was refering to when she said there was a man scarrier than the boogeyman? Or is this another, yet unintroduced character?
Anyone else think it's a burn that Peter Patrelli just has to touch you and he gets your power while Syler has to eat your brains? And so wouldn't Peter have all of syler's power's now including super hearing, freezing power, melting power, persuasion etc etc IMHO Peter Patrelli is overpowered and they should nerf him in the next patch.

There is now a cloud over white skin where there once was unquestioned authority. What a bunch of racist crap. What happened in Japan in WW2 is the biggest atrocity in history and the ONLY reason the US has given up these tactics is because they fear the international backlash and rightly so. The amount of civilains being killed in iraq every day makes me completely sick to think about but obviously it's not good enough for Mr. Steel.

Civ3 and Counter-Strike:Source on my pc, I still play some CS from time to time it's good for wham-bam-thank-you-mam action when you don't want to waste 1 hour looking for a game in the civ lobby.
I also play PS2 and Xbox, mostly the Grand Theft Auto series and RPG's like Dragon Quest VIII, Final Fantasy XII etc...
And yes to the Golden Eye question that game was the shiznit. My one roomate back in those days was so addicted all he did was play golden eye until he beat it on the 007 level. Crazy ish.

here's some terms since i'm bored and can't play civ cause I uninstalled again Noob(nub, nubsauce, nooby) New player or player lacking in skill. Leet(elite) Veteran/highly skilled player. Uber(very, super) Used by itself means a particularly good player better than even your average Leet but can also be used to enhance other terms such as ubernoob which would mean an absolutely useless player. Pwn(pwned, pwnage, own) To own, to win, to kill eg: "I'm gonna pwn you so bad." FFA(free for all) Games where alliances and diplomacy is allowed, tech trading generally isn't allowed even in these games as it's too easy to exploit (see: cool game) Cool Game(noodles) A free for all with tech-trading allowed where players use team speak or other 3rd party communication methods to coordinate teching and other aspects of the game in order to nuke the other players as shockingly early as possible. Fat CrossThe tiles in a city that can be worked by it's citizens. Culture BombUsing a Great Artist to expand a cities culture by creating a great work. OverpoweredMeans the opposite of the actual english use, ie: impis are overpowered = impis are too powerful. Rank sleeper(whoor) A player who won't let you into his teamers because he doesn't want you to get ranked since he knows in his heart of hearts you are much better than him. (see: Corve - rofl, jokes!) Team Stacker(stacker) A player who tries to create imbalanced situtations so his team will have the advantage prior to launch. PseudoA player who's changed his name to conceal his identity. laggerA player with a weak connection or POS comp causing game to go slow. DropTerm used when a player is disconnected from the game due to connection issue. Common Abbreviations:Cat, cata = Catapult HB = Horseback Riding HG = Hanging Gardens GA = Great Artist or Golden Age GS = Great Scientist Eng = Great Engineer LB = Longbow HA = Horse Archer ya ok I know if you can't figure out these abbreviations for youself you prolly shouldn't be playing ladder but like I said I was bored...

yar and my cap had library so i'm pretty sure that making a market in my cap wouldn't be as good for my science output as making the 2 courthouses in other cities since this let me run at 90% and take all that gold in teh cap i was getting from luxes/beuro and put it through the library, just remember nom, I'm here to answer all your noob questions and ya we'll make a civ player out of you yet

I agree about GP but since the only specialists I coulda made are workers, not so much an option. PS your all just jelous cause I thought of it And also tony i'm pretty sure upkeep depends on how much units u have so it may be 2-3 gold saved per turn then again it may be more. a market in my cap may have been better but those other cities didn't have any cottages anyway so probably the courthouse makes more money than markets, so nyah. Oh and last i checked they was 70 hammers each so the pair cost me a paltry 140 hammers, not 400. PPS: If you look a bit closer at NoM's screeny u will see a guy, running at 70% science, with 1 gold in his treasury, saving a woping -4 gold per turn, about to plant a new city. If you looked at my screeny 1 turn after finishing the second courthouse you'd see a guy running at 90% not losing any money and getting 80+ beakers per turn by which point nom was probably down to around 40. Dare to consider what could be next. colloseums baby, can't get enough of em

what nom neglects to mention in this thread is that the other team conceeded 2 turns later because we had all the land, power and and gnp, I was number one in power and gnp and i think nom was like 6th in both hehe ^^
Thing is in medi era if you are building nothing but units and getting down to around 50% tech rate and you have the most power then there's really nothing wrong with slaving out some courthouses imo, not only will it maybe prevent you from goin on strike when you actually attack but the added espionage will let you see the other teams charts fairly quickly.

lestat your such a noooooooB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! first off that wasn't a teamer so this is really the wrong thread... secondly...here's what happened from me [the woumans] point of view: game launched, I sat at finishing for like an hour (or 3-4 mins if u wanna be literal) finally I get into game and the first thing i see is lestat has retired, player2 has retired, etc etc and the timer was frozen at the start and all players are showing as [ai] next to their names so I'm thinking ok this is funky but what's really weird is my city is already planted (in a real bad spot since for total food I had 2 corn and ai had planted on one of them) and all of my units had moved, except for worker intrestingly enough which was just fortified on the hill where it started. I remember thinking how if they game wasn't stuck i mighta been tempted to play a few turns real fast, before joining others to see if there was anymore food out there ;D but ya it was stuck so I went back to lobby and saw the other game and joined it...this is where it gets really nutsty... when I got into the real game, these same moves were already done, i had to explain to all that ai had planted me on corn, but intrestingly it hadn't chosen a tech yet or set what to build in the cap, or moved the worker, but all other units had moved, so it was like it played half the turn, they agreed to reload and this is where I got angry because.... we reloaded and it was same nuts, so they agreed to let me quit without reports I was on teh same page as lestat actually, as in, "HOW CAN THIS BE POSSIBLE" i was so confused i decided to try loading my copy of the init save by myself, guess what, none of my units had moved. LESTAT YOU NOOB YOU LOADED THE WRONG SAVE!!! you took a save from the damn vote screen and loaded that so I tried to rejoin the game to tell you guys we can do a proper reload, but it was showing as 6/6 and said game was full, i tried twice, i guess cause I retired there was no take over ai... so i got on c4f but not a single person in that game was online so i cursed your noobiness in the lobby and went on with my life.

stay tuned for pics of me building courthouses with zulu ^^
by the way ez, did you post that screenie because the guy was building hermitage when he clearly needed workers to work his land, or because a bunch of noobs were playing an era that they are totally clueless about, clearly, nyuck nyuck ;D
