*Groan* Same thing again, Pitboss crashed just as I was about to finish my turn. Just once, it'd be nice to play a turn and not have to replay it two or three times later on.  EDIT: Seems like it's ok, I can log in once again... might be unstable though. EDIT Again: Yep, unstable alright. Crashed on me for the third time, after I finally finished my moves. I only hope it'll come back up again, so I don't have to replay *again*. |

Line seems to be down. Connection times out. Good to know its the cable modem. I was already getting worried about the US power supply situation ...

OK, the game will be down tomorrow from about 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM while I swap out the modem. I'll pick up the new one during my lunch hour.
Hopefully, this will simply be a "plug out - plug in".

I think the modem is not totally dead but on life support. It only runs for a few minutes, overheats, then chokes.
Plan is to have a new one hooked up this evening.

I assume you have taken down the game while your modem gets replaced ?
I've had this happen frequently (modem burn out) when there are power issues. Since I hooked it up a UPS to my system everything has been running better. Well worth the money if you haven't done this yet and they get cheaper all the time. The Belkin units are good with the power modulation and orderly shutdown capability. It even pages me when I have a power outage at home.

Well, I thought I had the problem diagnosed and fixed with the cable modem replacement. It worked fine yesterday, but back to the same problem today. It's running now, but in 10 minutes who knows.
Rather than keeping you guys trying I'll take the game down until the cable company gets out here. Don't bother to try joining until you hear again from me.
I'll reply when things are fixed.
