Please modify this thread and take those names out. That's not cool. Offer to teach them in a practice game what to do. You are one of the top players on this ladder. I know I look up to your wisdom when it comes to this game, show the rest of the players why they should.

Are you fuc*ing kidding me dude? I'm a nice guy in this ladder and am reguarded well by all, except you. I play teamers all the time, actually that's mostly all I play. This game I played today was a complete joke. I didn't see the warriors at all in time to switch my build to an archer. I would have built the archer on time except he stepped on my copper tile. Everyone makes mistakes and I definitely made one in this game but sitting here bitching and whining about it and making a thread giving me a bad reputation out here is completely ridiculous. Take the fu*king stick out of your ass and delete your post. People know I'm a decent and nice person and with this post they know you are a jackass

all i do is calling names of "dead people" there is really no training game needed to build a warrior in your cap and i do these training games kinda everyday - they are called tommynt ladder 1-1 and u get a total analysis of your game after u r dead (or i m) if u want

That's hardly a training game. That's a ladder duel tommy. A better training tactic is to do a practice game with the player on the same team, whether vs. AI or some friends. You watch what the player does, since you're on the same team and then ask them why they are doing what they are doing if you find their actions questionable.
When they are doing something wrong, you point it out then ask them to come up with alternative actions to do. If they still don't realize their mistakes then you explain it out to them to the tiniest detail. That is the only way to teach them the basics.
You pretty much have to cover city planting location, what to produce/tech first, and so on and so forth.

Well, it was a heat of the moment thing Lestat, realize that people do get upset over such things, especially when it really does take awhile to get what appears to be a good game together.
It would probably be better to say thanks to tommy for getting rid of his heat of the moment post and realize he may not be the person you have in your mind.
Thanks tommy.

Ill 1vs1 Tommy anytime. I know I will probably lose, he is a much better player than me. I never said I was an awesome player, I suck at Anc. But I'm not some noob who dies in the first 10 turns every game like tommy implied.

I caould be wrong, this is a shot in the dark but i think batams is Sidhe, lets see: 1) Both from england 2) When one stops posting the other one starts 3) Has the ability to take any thread on a total tangent and change the subject to himself 4) The style of writting is the same The only diffrence i can see is sidhes posts are generally alot longer, but maybe hes decided to keep things brief. If you guys are not the same person, you should meet up, youll become best of friends

Bantams and Sidme are definitely not the same person. Bantams only mildly perturbs and has a innocent quality that kinda makes him endearing. And I picture him jumping up and down in utter enjoyment just like his avatar after every CIV games. He also states that his game needs much improvement. Sidme on the other hand is an unmistakable, make one want to rip out there hair completely over the top annoying poster that I would know anywhere under any name, guaranteed. Unless bantams is the true Sidme and the Sidme persona is just the little kid trying to act mature. If bantams starts saying how he's going to kill us if we do this and kill us if we do that, then maybe ill start to wonder if there one in the same.

Is this delving into a conspiracy thread? There is an Illuminati on this ladder. We have to watch out now.....

I dont see the need to bring up the names of noobs in forums, or publicly ridicule them. This type of elitism is the death of alot of gaming communities. And I think Firaxis is doing all they can to kill civ online as it is, we dont need to help them Might I suggest other forms of ego appeasement?

there is no need to play the good guy zerza and others - people dying in t10 of a teamer ruin the fun for 11 others. and we play for fun, dont we?

Im gonna bang this drum a few more times still, but trsut me being able too see exactly what team mates are doing is the real problem here.
There is some elitism in every game, it only natural and in fact its healthy IMO. It gives new players something to aim for, its what keeps the game interesting, once you stop learning then the game becomes dull, doing the same thing agian and agian.
These kind of posts were non-exsistant in C3C, why? Because you didnt know what the noob was doing.
Also trainning new guys and writting articles is not anyones responsibility, let the new guys learn themselves, it may seem harsh but it is the BEST way to lean and more importantly it keeps them addicted. Sure giving hints, do this do that, dont do this etc is fine, but those articles are counter productive as is being able to see your team mates.
I remember when i learnt how to place cites in C3C, i played like 3 games a day. Then i learnt how to reinforce, again i played like 3 days a day. These were C3C milestones for me.
Think about this, cton are by FAR FAR the most popular/common type of game, no one ever moans about them and no one ever complains about them. This is a perfect learning tool!!
EDIT: Another thing that is turning people off is no worker start, i can understand why they have done this, but first time players see it a super slowness.

There's very little room to recover from an early kill..... just like C3C. Like Tony said, you can see what the other person is doing to get himself killed in CIV. It's difficult to babysit us newer people when you've got your own problems with enemies.

In other news today: Just another noob just died in Anc TBG teamer, and he was in Tommynt team once again. I say Tommynt just attracts noobs, they flock to him like bees to honey and flies to a light source.
