After spending 100s of hours thinking over and creating the new banner for the new league I have finally completed it. "Drum Roll"

I think this is a great idea. You should contact Geforced and we should combine all ideas and set up 2 new ladders, one based on BTS which is more geared towards playing against an AI / other people who like to test the skills they learned in Single player vs other people in the world and another ladder based on the balanced MP mod we are making. When people first start playing Civ 4 they will be able to log into GameSpy and get adjusted to the game. They can be a part of your guys ladder where they will grow into ok players who understand the general concepts of the game and how to micro-manage. The players who arn't competitive and don't mind the original version with its strategic loopholes will stay in your ladder. The players who prefer a more competitive version of the game that is balanced with minimum - no strategic loopholes will transfer over to our ladder. Those competitive players will be able to partake in serious competition with cash prizes and not have to worry about random newbs or flaws in the strategic depth of the game ruining their gaming experience. What you guys think?

The extent to which the Newb fairy and the other forces of evil go through is to stop me from accomplishing my quest of ultimate glory is amazing.
So i was slaughtering Geforce in our 1v1 I believe the score was 400 - 804. I had 4 cities going on 5 and Geforce still had 1 city. I had each city set up nicely with granaries and barracks and I was pumping out units. he was no where near me and I had cats in 3 turns and was as close to a secure victory as possible. I am talking about a less than .5% of a chance that i would lose.
Than what happens..... Adelphia my DSL service provider has a major issue and all of the Adelphia users in Beverly Hills are without cable or Internet lol. Needless to say. Its now been 1 hour since I lost connection and im at a buddies house using his internet.
I assume I have been disqualified. So ohh well, circumstances wins again. GL to the finalists and I hoped everyone had a fun time......

Players Do not have to post their leader they will be using throughout the tournament. They will need to tell the TD on the day of the event which leader they will be using for the entire event and they are not allowed to pick another leader. They must use the same leader for the entire tournament.

There has only been one cash tournament and the second half of it has been scheduled for this Saturday. Its kind of impossible to be fraud when I am the only person putting money into the tournament and there is no entrance fee.
This seems to be trend with you MMV... Please understand what you are talking about before you post, because even though your opinion isn't respected by most of the ladder community and obviously you don't care about your own credibility, it is possible for people who are new to the board to get mislead by your inaccurate statements and this could dissuade others from participating in future events.

I will be holding my second Cash Tournament on Friday of this week. 11/10/06 at 8:30 PM PST. The grand prize will be $100 cash money and you do not have to be ladder to enter the tournament. There will be "no" entrance fee. There will be 32 Spaces available for this Tournament and board members have the advantage of putting their names down on this thread to reserve a seat in the tournament. You must repost on this thread with your lobby name only, any variations of the lobby name will not reserve you a seat. Registration for the Tournament will end at 8:00 PST. I will be posting the Brackets for the Tournament at 8:20. The Settings are as follows: Mirror / Duel / Ancient / 100 Turns / 2 City Elimination / Temperate / Lakes / No Barbarians / No Huts / Always war. There will be 5 rounds in this tournament and in order to resolve most leader conflicts I will set this tournament vanilla style. Before the actual tournament begins I will pick at random 5 Leaders. Each round a leader will be assigned and every player who made it to that round must pick that leader to play. So lets say Gandhi has been assigned to round 3, Every player who made it to round 3 will be using Gandhi as their leader. All round's leaders will be picked before the tournament begins. In order to resolve any further conflicts each player must take a screen shot of the first turn and their victory or the drop from game of their opponent. All players should have the clock up from the game so the time can be verified. In the event there is a conflict between two players and both claim victory but neither have screen shots, the game will be played again. As soon as the game starts, the game starts and even if there is an error in setting the settings, the game must be played on and it is both players faults for xing in with incorrect settings. Round 1 - 32 Round 2 - 16 Round 3 - 8 Round 4 - 4 Round 5 - 2 Winner will need a paypal account in order to transfer funds to account. If you want to see more tournaments like this in the future I would appreciate a good turn out of players and I wont be hosting tournaments in the future if only like 9 players show up. I would appreciate it if you told as many people as possible about this tournament from all leagues. Please give out the URL to this thread I will be leaving my C4f name "..A..GameTheory" up that day and I will be accepting players reservations by c4f message up until 8:00 PM PST. I will be entering the game around 7:45 and if there are any seats available I will be accepting seat reservations by game messages also. I will only accept in the order in which messages are recieved. I will set Brackets on this Thread on the day of the event. The brackets will be followed and if two players are set to fight each other and they both win their games early they can begin onto the next round. R1 R2 R3 R4 R5 MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT MGT Obviously this bracket isn't the easiest braket set up in the world, but hopefully we are all intelligent enough to be able to figure this one out. Every Single Round each player will need to either post on this thread who won or send me a message over c4f or send me a message through the game. GL to us all and I hope to see you all there.

Only pooky and myself showed up for the time set last time, I am going to set the continuation of this tournament for this friday at 8PM PST ( california tim.) Hoppefully everyone will be able to make it, regardless, I will continue the epic at that time and the game will be up at 8PM sharp. I will sit in the lobby with the game open for 20 Minutes and I will start with everyone there. Please verify ( NOTA, MLL, POOKY) if you can make this time or we need to hold it another time. This time was the original time the tournament was set, so I figure you all can make it.
