Like I said in my earlier posts, MGT was completely up front and honest about his whereabouts in the aforementioned game. I don't think that he should be penalized for a rule that was never specifically made. Otherwise, as CS has mentioned, you're penalizing someone for a rule that doesn't yet specifically exist.
But I DON'T think that he should have been rewarded with reports. Simple as that.

... and the players involve shouldn't matter. It seems that if it was a player some were friendly with the ruling would be OK. Absolutely! The decision should be based upon the situation, not on who is playing.

whip some admin(s) are constantly deleting my posts When you break the forum posting rules yes they will be, if you don't want your posts removed perhaps you should refrain from swearing at other ladder players, slandering others and other general flaming. As you have seen recently I have been very tolerant of your posts despite your beligerant attitude. But I would not continue to test my patience it is not unlimited. CS

Maybe if you learned how to write your thoughts in a fashion that didnt involve breaking the board rules you wouldn't have a problem. There are ways to get your point across without getting it deleted, Its just common sense. Here is one approuch I don't agree with the admins rulings on this situation, what are your thoughts? Here is your approuch. The admins are stupid and unjust and are in the pockets of players and they need to stop deleting my posts because I think I know what I am talking about, regardless of if its fair. What do you think, im paying these admins with money? Im giving them special favors for ruling in my favor? Yes you guys are 100% correct they are ruining their repuations because I agreed to be their friends in the game. You people really need to take a step back, calm down and use a little common sense.

Maybe if you learned how to write your thoughts in a fashion that didnt involve breaking the board rules INDEED - which brings us back to your ENTIRE thread here and using the forums as a "courtroom of public oppinion" in each and every post you've made here. I don't like your name anymore so I'm going to change it to Mr.Richard - it's a much more formal name than what your act really is. Now then, OFF with you Mr.Richard, you have houses to paint, fish to catch, and buildings to build.

The fact that MGT going AFK during a cton has inspired 8 pages of replies cracks me up.

Taken from Ladder rules Fill in the Blank We can't cover every aspect of gaming in our rules. We have tried to be as thorough as possible and cover all the basics. However, just because something is not listed doesn't meant that it is allowed. Use common sense. If it is something that will adversely effect other players and you might think twice about doing it's probably against the rules. Our staff have the final say in such matters. If you have a specific question please feel free to contact us via E-mail. So then does this Make going AFK against the rules or not since its not mentioned in the rules and as it states above If its something that adversely effects other players its probably against the rules right?

I check the forum today and see this thread... Let me see if I understand this..Somebody goes afk for an excessive amount of time. The rest of the players in the game decide to rehost..for whatever reason. When the afk player comes back he realizes everybody else is gone and that they have rehosted. Now a judgement is made by the admins that the afk player deserves the reports of all other players in the game. The only possible reason I can see for this decision is that the admins believe if MGT wasn't afk he would have won. Well I would have won many games too if I did something differently. MGT made a decision..that decision was to go afk in the middle of the game. The decision is the same exact thing as deciding whether to build a warrior or a barracks. Both of those decisions will affect whether or not you are going to win the game. The players had to rehost and MGT was afk..they waited 10 minutes and he didn't come back..what were they supposed to do? Do I think somebody should be penalized for going afk in a game? No I used to go afk all the time. But when you go afk you have made that decision and must accept the risks...end of story. Should somebody get reports because they went afk and was excluded from a rehost because of that? Absolutely not. I've been taking a break from civ and to come back to this thread doesn't really give me the incentive to jump right back in and start playing again....

MGT I didn't read through this whole thread. Why would I want to? I can barely stand reading through one of your posts let alone an 8 page discussion about you.
I was just sharing my opinion about the issue. If you don't want to listen to it that's fine but do you really need to challenge my intellegence in an online gaming forum? Lol..I have a question admins..is this a personal attack or is MGT exempt from the rule that says those aren't allowed?

ohh your mistaken knupp, the first line in the post is in regard to someone else. The second line was addressed to you And besides, where I come from, failing reading comprehension of the SATs is a complement. ;D

Knupp, I think it has nothing to do with who would have won and more to do with the other players making a poor choice by discussing the game in a cton and reloading just to get rid of a player, that was using the full length of the timer, every turn.
MGT sent C.S. the chat log, I think, to show that they reloaded just because MGT was using the entire timer, not for technical reasons.
