If your #3 ranked chances are you going to get ganged up on anyway regardless of a cton or FFA, But cton's are very boring idd....just am at war with everyone and thats it. boooring. i want some diplomacy i want some sneaky deals. i want some coordinated gangbangs If i want to just have a boring always war no diplomacy no thought involved, ill go and play singleplayer and smash the computers. gimme somthing that involves some brain activity please! heh.. I would like to see what you woulda done in the situation I described above.

how ironic........Last night I was involved in a CTON and was gang-raped, triple teamed (coulda been quadruple teamed, but someone had the decency to take out the 4th ) I did however survive. I guess being resilient has its perks ;D I think playing the lakes map is just asking for it. Even though I was in last place (and still getting attacked ) I still had a blast playing an action packed game. I would do it again if given the chance because to me holding off immortals, eles, cats and axes coming from three diff. directions and managing to still hold my resources with only two cities until the end was a feat unto itself. Bottom line is I never complained once, even though I was dead last in points and they were all blowing there chances to win by wasting resources on me. It was actually one of the funnest CIV games I have played to date.

If you have evidence that player cheated in a cton, please feel free to send your screenshots and saves to the admins. CS Ya that too ;D

i can see your points, however, there are people like myself out there that enjoy a challenge ( 3v1 etc..) and yes usually get screwed, but still enjoy it in the end. I think we have all been triple teamed at one time or another, but what goes aroud comes around. I ve also been on the distribution end of a triple team (not planned). I guess what Im trying to say is....If you love this game (as I do) you will take the good with the bad and begin to actually enjoy both (even if in a sick demented way). Yes some cheat, but you just have to remember who they are and not play them anymore (fool me once shame on you....fool me twice shame on me). I could give a humiliating example of unfair teams I agreed to, but noone likes THAT long of a post

To be honest personally, I steer away from organized, but maybe because of the fact that (as stated above) it is sort of a "silent" trait. However, cheap courthouses are sweet!! It seems to me like a later era trait, but then again... I never really pay attention to it. It would be interesting to test it in the worldbuilder.

Well Lu let me say first off I'm not a beta tester...never have been. Secondly, Like I said before I play whenever and whoever I can. I am currently involved in two epic games and I play on average of about 4 times a week. I'd say thats pretty good for someone with a) a full time job b) An angry girlfriend that absolutely despises all forms of video games and has threatened repeatedly to throw my PC out the window ( which incidentally would probably result in her death ) c) A KID!! d) did I mention a family?? e) a full time working band f) numerous other things that unfortunately take priority. I believe I am a decent player and can hold my own! The wins I have were not given to me. You know what, why don't you and I switch ranks......will that make you happy?? It doesn't really bother me, sure I enjoy being where I am but I'm not going to cry about being in the top 10 or others gaming habits. I do see your point..... however, others have other responsibilities (testers testing etc...) I think you should do a little more research before you start pointing fingers. I play in the ladder for the purpose of good competition and solid non-quiting games, if my game frequency isn't to your liking, well....... I play within the rules and frankly.....its really NOT your business! ( on a side note the 3 or 5 days your referring to also have alot to do with late reports)

LMFAO! and Lu, I just take offense when im accused of something I havent even done, I know u say "not just me", but I am one of those "top 10 people", so yes...it does mean me. I dont think I could take a week off from this game unless I was forced

Personally I really dont think its anyones buisness how often I play as long as its within the requirements of the ladder rules ( 7 days as stated above I believe). As Fried said, i also have a girlfriend, kid, job, and a working band that all take priority over CIV. I do however play as much as I can and whenever I can. For the record most of the idol days are also due to late reports. Thank you and good day sir.

What do people think of the Jaguar, anyhow? I've seen this debate on every other site - kinda surprised it hasn't happened here. Personally.....I think theyre weak, axemen can tear em up fairly easily( promotions aside). Although if you have no resources(as with most units) if the jags come knockin....your days are probably numbered

I am currently thinking about picking up a new computer, I am between a dell and a compaq...the dells video card is an "integrated intel extreme graphics 2 (320-2870)" will it work for this game? Just throw it in the lake, you know your going to anyway.
