To all:
In my opinion the recent trend of very poor conduct during ladder matches is the very greatest threat to the continued existence of Civ4players. New players are our lifeblood and they are not going to stick around if they are verbally abused, bullied into rules that are not part of the ladder rules, or threatened with non-reports which wouldn't see the light of day if actually processed.
I just penalized one player for 7 days for very vulgar comments and two other players for trying to change the settings in shuffle ladder teamer at the last moment, for 14 days.
Needless to say I take a very dim view of pathetic antics like this and will continue to do so. And if you think that I won't continue to do this, because "there won't be enough ladder players for games", think again. I'd rather have 200 mature law abiding players than 900 that think this is the wild west and they can do what they want.
This ladder is built on the concept that we all play fairly and honestly, don't quit games and report if we have to, and report our losses promptly. If you can't live with these basic ideas and treat our ladder players with the same respect you want to be treated with, then let me show you the door now.....

Who got banned for a week?
Who were those banned for two weeks?
BTW, I fully support this action, I was only yesterday having someone ask where I was having all that fun (they saw a posting of my paratroopers at another site - not civfanatics) and when I was saying on the civ4player ladder I also put in a warning. I'll quote it actually as it does seem appropriate here:
One word of warning, there are alot of arseholes that play Civ4, my advice to any new comer is to join some open games and just get used to the differences online. Then join the ladder and play the cton games till you've become familiar with them (I did about 50 of them before moving to teamers) as when you get into teamers and foul up, the abuse can be quite something.
It is bad that I felt the need to say that, rather than just being able to recommend just coming and joining the ladder. I also know that I'm not always perfect when someone dies to a start warrior on my team...but, believe it or not, I try to be nice.

Sounds like improvement to me. Teamers were especially abysmal to try to get started and play in, with all the antics and attitudes, and what not.
Ban them all and let Sid sort them out.

well i just got out of the box for language lol. I accepted that, but this time im accuesed publicly of cheating, wich is a joke. But maybe i telepathycally made the host cheat, that must be the reason... btw deviousdevil whats wrong with my win loss ratio, i dont think that 57 % is any bad considering the amount of shuffled newbteamers i play

Stop playing noob teamers, do some mature OCC And lets find out if y understand the gamemec. or not ? ;D Lets see, every OCC player had a holy cow when they thought there was a limit on wonder building. This would lead on to think that building the most wonders(along with city size, as their is a grand total of ONE) gives an edge over the other players. Sounds complex. Sounds like it takes a deep 'understanding' of civ to get this one going!

You Dont Build all wonders IN OCC you only Build Certain National Wonders How many times OCC is more about Micro and Food last game my cap was POP 45 anyway Ill Leave it to The OCC master Lestat to explain in more Detail

OCC is decided by a starting position so it's a game for noobs. Even noobs have a chance to win so they like it ;D You Dont Build all wonders IN OCC you only Build Certain National Wonders How many times OCC is more about Micro and Food last game my cap was POP 45 anyway Ill Leave it to The OCC master Lestat to explain in more Detail So managing one city is called "Micro"? LMAO Try to manage 24 workers in a Future start, for example. And Population depends solely on your starting position (=random), not on micro.
