If someone is hacking the game should go out of sync. Sounds more like someone was on Settler difficulty and popped a settler or two from huts. Although I suppose if you're in slavery and are Imperialistic, you may be able to get a couple Settlers out really fast ...

No, since warlord release you are now much often able to pop settlers and workers from huts if you play on the difficult of settler.. So take care in cton on what level all players are playing.

Yes and please email me if you catch people trying to switch difficulty levels at the last sec, this may be a common practise in open games but they will soon find out I don't have a sense of humour when it comes to this practise on the ladder.

omg LOL - that's not "3 settlers" - that's the graphics settings you're using - check "single unit graphics" under graphics options.
(under your current settings, one axe would scare the snot out of you, eh?)

MMV, the capital + York + settler walking around = 3 settlers total.

well sorry, I can't really see all that in the pic posted but I DON'T see 3 settlers as posted -
and - if they brought back the EVERYONE COMPLAINED ABOUT "settler-popping huts" with WL - there was a reason they removed it in vanilla C4.

you only get settlers in "settler" difficulty, that has always been the case since Civ4's release and it hasn't changed for Warlords. We who always play on noble will never see a settler from a hut in our games. But you can now turn huts off in the game setings as well.

MMV since York isn't his capital (according to the picture, York has no "star"), I assume he has London somewhere... then he has that settler wandering around.... Since they are researching animal husbandry, I assume it is very early in an ancient start. I don't believe it is possible to have that many cities, though I'm not sure how far they are into the game.

If he had an adequate amount of food, like floodplains, he could have used his imperial trait to get those settlers out fast with slavery.

Isn't 3580 only 11 turns into the game? Three settlers by then would be pretty impressive.

Well, if it's only 11 turns in, the only legit ways I can think of are huts and if his allies all gifted him a settler. Otherwise it's impossible.

I just thought of this. Would it cause OOS if you hack to change your difficult setting? How hard would that be to do? And I wouldn't think it would cause an OOS because you didn't change the game in any way.

atomation, tell me if I am wrong, but there are a few things very suspicous about that screen shot.
To have his second city next to bronze 11 turns in is flat out the most lucky thing I have seen. Unless I am wrong, dont think england starts with mining, meaning having bronze working, a second city placed right next to bronze, 11 turns in is more than just "settler" settings. He would have had to pop a settler, place it blind next to bronze, and pop another settler all in 11 turns, that would be a "fortunate" start to say the least.

was this a ladder game?
who hosted the game and why did the host allow the player to change his difficulty setting?
