Is there a way to name your units?

Yes. And this just isn't used often enough, because the potential for hilarity is overwhelming. It's very simple. When you have a unit selected, go to the 'details box' in the bottom left hand corner, click on its unit name (e.g. warrior) and you will be given the option to change its name. So now you can call your starting warrior Mr. Poohead (if you're very childish that is). And people will be like "Mr. Poohead killed my scout?" And the laughs just won't stop. Or if u get ur explorer on someones iron hill in a medi start, u could name him 'yougotnometal'. etc. etc. I tend to start changing unit names when I am under siege and have no way of getting out of it really. Obviously u got more time then and it takes ur mind off the fact that u r really crap, u really thingyed up or u had atrocious luck. Thinking about it it is a kinda form of private messaging and therefore should be banned. I never said that... It is also possible to change the name of ur civ. As a bit of an up urs to Firaxis I have seen civs named after Portugal and Turkey, cos they do not feature already (shame on u, oh game developers). OK so now have some fun making up silly names.

Well. I never actually checked. But always assumed it did. I wonder if the food carrys over as hammers. That'd be interesting. I would have thought so. Lemme check. ....2 minutes later Yes it carries over for both the food and the hammers.

Ever notice when a unit is healing and is at x.0/x
It takes another turn of waiting for it to go to x/x.
Wondering for example if a warrior at 2.0/2 is the same as 2/2 health. I assume so. But makes me wonder.

Nah, it's a little lower. I think the game rounds to the nearest tenth when it displays so something like 99/100 HP would show up as 2.0/2 since it's closer to that than 1.9.

Is there a way to figure out which city a religion was founded in after the fact?

cultre in the city ll be something like +10 if u havent adopted to another religion before - also u can see it in the religion advisior screen i think - healing is somthing like 5% in enemy land 10% in neutral and 20% at home if i m not wrong (i m hardly wrong in civ stuff)

Is there a way to figure out which city a religion was founded in after the fact? The founding city will have the gold dot on the religion symbol. Also, if you have ever seen the city, the founding city will be on the religion screen (f7 I think). If the founding city has been destroyed before you see it, you can only find out which city it was in the game replay at the end.

(i m hardly wrong in civ stuff) Heh. Well that may be, but you missed something. I think it goes 5% in enemy's culture, 10% in neutral, 15% in friendly culture and 20% in friendly city.

After that, you argued that you was right Anyway, here is a full description. You're wrong again forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=157954

Medic gives +10%. Making it 15% in enemy's land, 20% in neutral, 25% at home and 30% in ur city. Which, I guess, means on occasion it wouldn't be worth taking units home.

If you units are relatively healthy, then you need 3 turns max so to heal to full with a medic on enemy territory (and 2 in your city with a medic). However, you need something like a forest so to heal in relative safety (and of course you need to kill main enemy stack). And you can probably finish healing remaining unhealthy units while bombing enemy defence on a next city. It's not always a good idea, but there are some situations when it's obviously better.

Here's a question I haven't been able to figure out the answer to: When playing SP, I see the message come up that "So-and-so is the first to circumnavigate the globe". What does one get for this feat? I'm guessing maybe a Great Person but I'm not sure. Anyone know? U get a +1 on all sea movement
