Ah... Windows Live OneCare is not recommended. As a anti virus program its ok, and its firewall is better than none but as an adware/spyware blocker it has some issues. Search on windows live onecare reviews and you will see its likely not the best thing to protect your system.
Symantec (Norton) has saved my bacon a number of times and although no software is perfect I have no reason to change. Yes system works screwed up my install of another software package from roxio however that package is sticking invalid registry entries out there. It's install is flawed. I have followed up with Roxio and they are looking at my findings ... actually received a thank you for documenting it so well.

Game going back up. I took it down last night to run some ms updates and from reading a journal I receive found this little ditty.... secunia.com/software_inspector It showed me that my pc was out of date on a number of programs that run on my pc - java, adobe flash player, winzip, etc and that is a security risk that alot of hackers are taking advantage of. The software runs analyzes your system and then provides you a link to update the software in question. Now that I am all updated ... game is back up. I think mightydwarf you are the only

Not sure if you are going to get reminders from the game the last turn ... it appears the last pitboss update ... it must have been that ... returned all my civIV ini files (warlords, civ4 basic) to their default state ... removing the smtp settings, my game name, email address, game not full setting (prefer windowed), resolution setting, no intro movie etc etc. PITA It's fixed now - I didn' realize at first. but if you didn't get a reminder from the game that's why. Sorry. Just sharing to check your own ini files. Thanks for the reminder of the BM ... (not bowel movement but while we're there ... oooh a truck backed up today and I had to scoop the bowl to get the flusher to work) ... there is a BM coming up so .... points race starts now

Early Tuesday morning...
Looks like the uploader is down, but I got an email saying it was my turn
The game is still up and running
Even with uploader saying it's down, I decided to go ahead and try to log in and take my turn - it works.
(yes, game is fine, but like the other pitboss games, uploader is down)

reported to all above me, including -
"Mighty Dwaarf" which is not a registered ladder name
player "Mightydwaarf" is listed on the ladder and I reported to him
it should be noted that during ladder games, a player's ladder name must be indentical and match letter for letter, character for character, etc.

Why thank you. Surely you can't be serious ... a space ? I've seen ladder names with the damn tags that make it difficult to find a name - a space does not deviate from a ladder name IMHO for reporting purposes. He doesn't play to my knowledge ladder games anyway. I doubt you will have a problem other than this game.

I reported - no problem (you can check) - Just citing the rules: Ladder Names: *Your Ladder name must match the name you use in chat and play your matches under exactly. This includes spaces, underscores and other keyboard characters*Players should never report a loss to a name that is different than the one their opponent used during the matchPlease note name change from benchmark year 2000 with the ladder name "mightydwaarf" to "Mighty Dwaarf" this benchmark year 500 civ4players.proboards44.com/index.cgi?board=pspga&action=display&thread=1180208730&page=4Two different names, same game.
