Hi all, I have installed the game, figured out on my own that had to start with disk 1, not the mislabeled "disk 2 play". Game boots up fine, runs through splash screens and gets to the earth screen with Civilization IV on the top, but that's it? No menu displayed! Just the earth ). Any suggestion?

It's a Geforce issue that is solved by updating drivers to the latest Geforce drivers after installing the lates Direct X 9.0C version, they do change periodically, after installing the 9.0c from the civ disk, do this even if you have 9.0c there are some specivic civ updates, and then install the other two over the top, I had precisely this problem and it was solved by following the advice of the people in here, advice I'm glad to pass on Memnoch when you reinstalled you may have lost some of the CIV specific stuff try the above, hope it helps.
