Why why why is it so bad???
It s horror! I think I dont have to list examples, we all know em. It s just so f**king frustrating to need 1 hour before u can even start game - in fact it s unbelievable that they can sell a game with such a f**ked up connectivity with MP labbel.
Why was there done NOTHING in 2 expensions? Actually it seem to be even worse!
Why dont they f**king buy just 1 server? Is it so hard???
Even civ3 was better!

I agree It is getting worse and as gone really bad with BtS I never ever got a Server Discon Message Before but i get them quite Often Now!
Is it possible that C4F is in someway Crashing the server Who knows one things for sure when BtS came Out in the UK before anyone had a BtS version of C4F there wasnt any Connection Problems that I encountered

Btw, C4F was accessing the BTS lobby long before BTS was released in the UK... and there is no link at all between the chatting functions and the game connectivity.

It's probably just the influx of new Mp players in the lobby, the same thing happened when Civ4 first rolled out, the GS matchmaking server wasn't ready for he load. Myself I haven't experienced any more issues than before other than the odd "server disconnect". It's likely that perhaps the improvements in the OOS code could be making the system more sensitive to lost packets or lag..hard to say.

The ponit for me is: Why they cant fix the probs with 2 exp-packs? Firaxis ever heard of our probs or they just ignoring the mp-community?

The solution is not a simple one...we would have to abandon the entire peer to peer system(and Gamespy) to rid our selves of this problem. And 2% of the market is not worth that cash layout....in there business minds anyway. So yes i guess you could say that they are ignoring us. CS

Worse than civ3? lol when is the last time you saw OOS in civ4? even if you do get one you can just get people to hotjoin without all players having to leave the game and rehost the game. Most connectivity issues are because people know nothing about firewalls/port forwarding.

No, its not only because of ppl dont know how to forward ports, workstations from 1989 and so on. BtS has actuarly destroyed the fun of playing civ. Its as simple as that.

We must be playing two different game Because I'm not expereincing any massive problems that I didn't already have with Warlords, to say that BTS has destroyed Civ is a little over the top if you ask me. If you really think that there are bugs in BTS that are causing increased disconnects or other connectivity issues, please post here the exact details of each issue. Then if we can identify the certain people having problems we can perhaps have this group turn logging on and capture some error logs. Short of providing evidence of problems there is no way to track the problem. And me going to Firaxis to say "BTS has increased connectivity issues" doesn't help them find the problem, without a more detailed description.

Ive had a few Game Splits happen and I was quite a Good Host before BtS came out so dont know whats causing that and I only play once or twice a day and having the game split like it as been doing kinda makes ya think Why bother playing MP its just too time consuming and If the games are Teamers 99% of the time it gets Scrapped due to connection problems and then ya get really pissed off having spent all Night in a game to finnally see it get scrapped!
