**** This is a post I got from CivFan siteform a while back so it might be SP related
While the economy has been greatly improved in civ4, I am loosing that loving feeling -- the epic warfare of civ3
In civ3 the war units were epic, fun, and DEADLY especially the uu's -- Playing mp in civ3 and civ4 i find civ3 war so much more fun and I like to say epic
-People who have not play mp this will not relate to you guys as the human is always looking for a kill, especially if you are a terrible techer or land stealer
-The problem is the chariot rush
-Its to easy to die early on with no resource in cap, the kill should never be easier than the defense
-Warriors should be worth 5 sheilds
-Another mp issue, cossacks are just to powerful in ren -- if you beeline to national/miltrad you can kill off 5 civs before people catching up to via rifles, because cavs are powerless of course
-A way to fix this is to make Cossacks 50 percent on gunpowder instead -- making them powerful vs infantry also, a much more viable unit then i believe
-Khesik in multiplayer is utterly useless let alone in singleplayer where movement doesnt even matter, all about the strength of units
-- to fix this i think khesiks need to be 3 move horses, it historically correct as well as not usless anymore, but a lurking dangerous enemy in the darkness
-Celtic Swordsman - Please two moves,6 attack, no geurilla bonus
-Jaguar warrior- 2 move warrior bring that back please (another epic unit)
-The Roman Legion I hear is too powerful in civ4, that is mainly because the computer is too dumb to understand how to fight it -- maybe fix the computer. But in mp the romans are not a civ choosen rarely by good players. The UU is just not great when matched against agg axes yes it is a viable asset at times -- but not nearly as great as its counter.

Future-- units are EXTREMLY inexpensive, raise modern armors, stealth bombers, nukes -- give non resource marines a chance, and mechs should need oil and rubber(which should be brought back) obviously....?
I find future start in civ4 very bothersome -- this probabaly doesnt relate to most of you but it is WAY to easy to expand (the solution is back to the basics civ3, why do you change something not broke) -- I believe civ4 should go back to when the settler/worker cost population while growing, its just to easy to expand in future and would also make expanding faster/easier in ancient
As well bring back the bombing of roads by artillery and bombers -- what ever happened to those epic seige wars, disabling enemy roads -- putting him in disarray???
--ALso some nice things to bring back colonies, airfields, regicide, cruise missles

As well I find the duplicate leaders as lazy or I dont know why its there so two people can use same UU?
Two of same civ in a game is NOT civ -- it is dull
How about portugal?

Multiplayer game play issues
-Peer issues not as often still a role in the game, why cant we do it like it was done in civ3 ( SIMPLE IS BEST )
-Host drop/the game doesnt start on launch and needs a host drop-- sometimes that doesnt even work
-8 sec delay not bad I rather not have it but.... why does it lag you for 8 sec if you move a unit at one sec -- I can see why you cant move that unit at one sec but why cant you move another unit, hopefully a bug or it would be pretty dumb
- As well there is another bug if you move a worker at 10 sec the move stack on it at 0 you can negate the penalty.

Many of these things are MP related in case your not getting my point keep that in mind -- Some SP issues as well

Fraxis don't change what is great about civ just because you think you need change, I have seen many things changed that i love especially economics -- but it seems you doing too much not thinking it through just to put a diff game on table, lets do everything with reason and not bring the unneeded changes that actually HURT the game and dont fix it or make it better.
