Hi guys. I've read the rules thoroughly and i've found the epic mod game to be quite appealing.
rule 26:8
" To reward multiple victories the benchmark will be game years. Wins will be awarded at the following years: 2000BC, 500BC, 500AD, 1000AD, 1500AD, 1800AD, 1900AD, 1950AD, 2000AD, 2050AD. "
At each benchmark year, the game is paused as to the rules:
26:12 " At each Benchmark the player score(as displayed on the player list) on the start of the turn will be used to determine the ranking for the reports."
26:13 " Note: The game should be paused momentarily at the bench mark year, for each player to record their scores. The host and other players should take a screen shot in case of disagreement. The host should later post the BM scores in the game thread in the ladder forums."
rule: reporting match
" In 'free for all' matches…or matches in which multiple opponents are all competing against each other without partners each of the losers of the match reports a loss to the one overall winner."
also, each time a benchmark is met, you have to:
REPORT ALL LOSSES: In a multiplayer game involving more than 2 players, losers must report to each and every person who is victorious over them. If you are eliminated (killed), you must report to every remaining player in game, regardless of their score. If you survive to the end of the game, you must report to every remaining player who outscored you (as based on the final player score as indicated in the player list). Players that achieve a Victory Condition, as evidenced by the game displaying the victory message, have earned first place in the match despite whatever score they might have. The game is also finished whenever a victory condition is met, regardless of how many turn remain and no score after the victory condition is attained counts. For team play reporting, see rule 24.4.
The game will be using the Epic and general rules, aiming at:
----- a Large Map of (7 players or more)
----- wins: Cultural, Conquest, Domination, Space race, Diplomatic and Time (if decided a certain number of turns)
----- time: Epic; multiplayer turn timer: Blazing; talking over AI; simultaneous turns; Barbarians are on and normal;
IMPORTANT: as the EPIC rules require, NO WAR WILL BEGIN UNTIL 500 BC and those that betray this rule will be considered disqualified players and will have to report loss to everyone still alive in the game!!! [if they declared war to you, you'll have to quickly screen shot the screen so we'll know he declared war before that certain time. Must contain message that he declared war upon you and not otherwise; if u can't provide that screen shot, witnesses can be used]
ALSO accordingly to rule 13:1, 13:2, 13:3 :
" Your Civ4players account name must be identical(character for character) with your CIV Gamespy ID."
" Any games that you enter and play without a valid CIV Gamespy ID are illegal and you will not be granted any wins from these games. This will not effect other players in the game. Host must verify all the players that enter your game room are using a valid CIV Gamespy ID using the method mentioned above."
WHAT OPTIONS WILL NOT BE IN:
1. "N" City Elimination
2. Always War
3. Always Peace
4. No Tech trading
5. Permanent War or peace
REMEMBER:
You are NOT allowed to say anything in-game that might give away information about someone's resources, development status, positions, army, if that person is waging war with someone or anything else related , that might give an advantage to someone.
WHAT IS ALLOWED:
Among other things, trading is allowed, as well as making an alliance (signed alliance) with someone, open boarders and so on.
ONLY make a joint attack on someone if you and that other people with whom you attack have a written alliance. Otherwise, any sign of private chat leading to a common military attack on a nation will be considered not CTON and both nations will be disqualified and required to report loss to all remaining civilizations.
If you want to request certain things of someone : trade, request not to be attacked or implore for mercy, DO SO IN PRIVATE CHAT AND NOT IN PUBLIC CHAT (TO ALL), or you will be disqualified sooner or later. (and required to report loss to everyone still alive)
This should be all. Take care, have fun and see you then
