Okay, I'm looking 5 ladder players for an epic next Saturday starting around 18:00 GMT. We'll continue on Sunday if necessary. Post here if you're interested.

Hi, I would be intrested in playing...I`m also going to be playing an epic PB Warlords game which starts Sunday. A few questions...How long do you think a full epic game will take to finish ?...or will you save it after say 10 hrs or so... and finish it the following weekend. And generally what kind of settings are you thinking of ? Thx

An epic should take about as long as the ironman in the CCC so about 10-12 hours. I'd love to play but I'll be out of town for a week.

I was thinking a small hub with 1 area per player and 3 isthmus width.
I personally like that you can build up a lot in an epic game, in a too tight a map and starting positions it often gets stuck in the unit spamming phase which slows the game down and bores me. Hub is also brilliant for mid and end game with it's sea and strategical points. Wheel is even better but it's very challenging so unless everyone really wants wheel we'll just play on a hub.
I've been testing hub with balanced resources on and I think it really is balanced.
Other than that, no turn limit no city elim limit and no restrictions of any kind except "no huts" will be turned on because let's face it, they blow and if someone neglects scouting because of no chance getting hubs, it's his funeral.
There's some stuff I have in mind, and oh yeah, random civs and anon will be on. In an epic the civ differences are really balanced out IMO.
