Maybe my alternate personality took over and wrote something I forgot because I don't see what's the big deal.
So, you're saying now that you've turned over a new leaf and the rest of the post written will be serious and non sarcastic. I musta missed that memo.
There's so many lessons to be learned in these forums. A person can change on a dime and how dare they be judged on their past actions.

Agreed Necro, you don't judge me on trying to help, and I wont judge you on flaming me; sounds like a good compromise.
Didn't change on a dime, just using a technique to find out more info, and damn it, it worked, not as well as I would of hoped, but meh whatever; unfortunately when I explained myself people chose not to listen, who cares, they're peasants.
Me and you Necro are better people than that, just baring a grudge, let's put it behind us , nuts happens; you made the mistake of misinterpreting my intentions, I made the mistake of judging you on it and so did they, We're both wrong.

I'm not sure what to think so I'll just play it safe and not respond to any more of your post. That should keep me out of trouble. Inconsistencies confuse me. Maybe he danced too long with necrominous and was changed. Ah, another soul collected.

Sidhe, u've got ppl trampling all over you, yet you have a forest hill next to ur capital. You should have cut that forest off that hill long ago, and mined it for production. You have 5 hills and 2 resources in capital, so thats excellent. The fish resource cannot be trampled on or pillaged. Again, if you had the option, cut out a spear first, followed by an axe or 2. The one spear should be enough for the horse archers, and the axes inside a city without catas around should be fine against the jaguars. Still, even after all that, it seems u were losing too badly to come out of it. Ur just lucky an Axe didnt sit on that Forest-Hill btw, cuz that would have truly sucked lol.

Just the fact that this post is up is evidence of the guys attempt at getting help and ecouraging dailogue? I don't understand the objections here? Looks like a pretty usefull set of tips of what not to do to me, have I missed something or am I being dense

I don't really see what your problem is here. Your city has bonus defense, so 1 axeman will take out a million lame jaguars. One spear will take out a million and 1 lame horsemen. You could have improved your chances by building on a hills/plains rather than where you did, but at this point with your 60% bonus defense, it really doesn't matter as much. In either case I don't see the point in this post at all. If you are double teamed its always gonna be a little tough, it has nothing to do with what is attacking you. A double hit of aggressive class axemen would be alot more deadly than a jaguar/horseman hit, so if you are going to whine at least whine about how axemen are overpowered . From what I've seen in games with you is that you just don't expand nearly enough, so that could certainly cause issues producing enough units for defense.

Phil this game was played when I was still a little green so I can kinda see all the points in here and I fully agree with most if not all of them, although I think Necromonius is being negative about something not sure what, I'm learning to ignore him tough, maybe I should post some stuff in Frieds Den to get a dialogure going like he suggested on another thread or maybe I should post regularly on the quick tips thread or in the god thread or the other ones? Who knows? ;D Anyway, I agree had I played this game now or even a month after that I would have never needed to make the post, but I think this is a good example of exactly what not to do, and a valuable source of info for the noob; if I'm wrong then at the least it's an interesting dialogue of counter strategies.

You should have pop rushed units with Slavery. With a granary, you'll quickly recover.

pop rushing has saved my arse more times than I care to mention. It is an essential in a surprise attack.
