I would have posted this in the Reporting Thread, but it seems to be gone.
My question is...I know some players will report their losses all at once after they've finished playing for the day. I am fine with that, as sometimes players need to rush into another game after the next. However, are players supposed to report in the order of the games played or does it not even matter?

Bitches need to check their egos at the door when they play for me. Nothing is more important than the team here. There are no superstars in my locker room. That's what I'm talking about. Even men can be prima donnas. I mean if you have a huge military in this game, the fools will go on strike. The military in Civ 4 is nothing more than a mob. It's promotions that set the true military units apart from the common rabble that people use. Even then, you can still catch a bad beat.

That's what happens Rupman when you treat your elite units like grunts. Your superstars want special treatment. If you use them like grunts, they'll die like grunts.

Jessica Simpson eh? Hmmm....now if it were Scarlett Johansson I'd be clamoring for the position. You seem to have it good then. Wait a second though...Magzi is a female....

Hmm...DD seemed to have spawned a whole new debate.
I think the ladder admins could put this to rest if they laid out what criteria and in what kind of situations would bring about the need for a new admin.
Obviously, some of the European players feel that they aren't receiving the help that they need during their time zone.
Another thing it seems is, some of the players might be feeling that a good portion of the admins are out of touch with the ladder community.
Perhaps giving some insight into the work and daily routines that the admins have to go through could settle some of us down. It'll be like take your ladderites to work day.

Well, since we got your attention FP....anyway you can use your pull to get them to create a Civ 4 forum on the official website? This is the only game that I've bought in the past 2 years that does not currently run its own forums. Or at least not in the official game webpage.

I sort of agree with Zerza in that there need to be some changes, if they want to release an expansion. Perhaps my biggest gripe is the lack of an "official" forum for the game. If you go to the Civ 4 homepage, it's just 1 big add. The links to the forums direct you to either CivFanatics or Apolyton which is just unacceptable. My only recourse to try to get some changes in is to hunt down as many beta testers as possible and have them submit some ideas for changes. On top of that, from what I hear, the multi-player beta testers are just being drowned out by the sheer number of single player beta testers.
It just makes me sad to think that the first 5-6 months of the connection issues of online play may have turned away more people than we think.

The backing of another ladder player to further your cause would be excellent. I wish I could sing praises about you Necro, but I don't really know you. Maybe someday I will. It's not really a critique, but having another player who knows you well to back you up could be all the difference in getting that posting if you're serious. And I left an entire word out of that last sentence....I had gotten off of work and wasn't of sound mind.
Also, talking down to players.....not so cool. Hopefully you didn't get that impression from me, if so, I'm sorry.

Maybe if someone could back your claim Necro? I'm not sure promoting oneself will win these guys over.

Well, in RaY, Warning....we do selective scouting for potential ladder members. It may sound a bit elitist, but we try to find players with a fair amount of skill, fair knowledge of the game mechanics, and most importantly their attitude. We've played games with individuals that have played FFAs from ancient all the way to the modern era, only to get nuked and still play it on to the end. It's hard to find players like that and those are the caliber players we actively seek.
On the flip side, those that ask how we did so well, we also try to take under our wing and introduce to the ladder. The ladder as a way to rapidly improve one's skills as the competition is usually a bit better. So our recruiting isn't blatanlty open, but hopefully it is in a way that other ladder members don't see as a negative way to get people on the ladder.

I think I have to agree with Germania on the new European admin bit. I don't live in any of the European time zones (I live in the Pacific Time Zone). The activity of European players on this ladder, at least I feel, warrants there being another European admin. I believe there are probably a few issues that such an admin would be able to resolve for the European players. I get the feeling that some of the European players may feel like they are under-represented.

With the power of being a moderator on the forum, you can bring forth civility. know it may be more brute force than you'd like, but this is the internet. Everything and anything will fly. When people check their manners at the door, you sometimes have to do what you have to do to enforce the level of courtesy that should be here.

Oh, but I think it is. Somedays, after work I feel like I should be retired. Then on some really bad days I feel like I should be about 4. Now the question I have is....how old is the new girl at work? Oh lord, she is smoking hot.
