For users that use normal browsers like Firefox. On the main forum page script just stucks so Firefox asks if it should stop executing that script. Javascript console shows constant errors (1-2 errors per second). When forum or ladder page is open in Firefox, it may easily use 50% or more of the p4-2400 processor (so now i close it while playing Civ 4). I thought it's just a temporary bugs but it looks like you don't plan to fix them.

El', there is something wrong with your setup. I use Firefox and have no problems. The load is resonably fast if you use the old skin. I never get any errors. Maybe you need a Java update, or you are running an old version of Firefox.

Ellestar,
I just checked the forum and the myleague site with my firefox. I get no erors with any of the skins on the forum and the only thing I get on the myleague pages is a warning about the CSS not being set right. On that I can;t change it. I have sent a couple requests to Case's support about it, but they say it is fine
Can you please tell me witch version of Firefox you are using? It may be you need to download the most recent version of it.
DTA
p.s. on a side not Javascript dose not require or use Java. 2 different products that share a name. Silly imo

Version 1.5.0.1 (At least, on work. I'll check version on my home computer later but it should be upgraded to latest version as well). Yes, it looks like a css error that is spammed in JavaScript console.
That bug with 40%+ processor used for firefox doesn't happen all the time. But every time it happened civ4players main page and main forums page was opened. Next time it will happen i'll write the exact pages that were opened.

Thanks Ellestar, that will help alot in tracking it down to see if it is a problem with one of the sites.
Your version if Firefox should be good to go, and yea I believe that is the most recent version.
On the 40% processor used, there is a java aplet on the main page of myleague. It would be the only thing that I can think of that would cause that. I don't have access to the java programming for it, it is a built in feature of Case's. If it looks like that may be waht it is, I'll inform Case's support of it and see what they say. Won't hold my breath that they will say there si something wrong with it. The forum once the page is loaded will not require any use of the processor, until you load a different page. So I don't think it has anything to do with the forum.

Aha i found what was that. It's a www.smileycentral.com banner that needs so much processor power. 2 such banners = 80% processor used by firefox I closed one tab and it immediately become 40%. When i blocked advertisements in firewall and reloaded a page it become 0%. Some other banners have the same effect (say, www.screenscenes.com one, almost 100% with Internet explorer).

ah the Ad's, again something I can't change. We got rid of as amny as we could withthe plus service, and you can get rid of a few more with a premium account. Unfortantly even then some of them still get on the pages. Oh well guess Case's needs to make an income somehow, even if it is apain in the ass way.
