I hope all is well.
I have dual monitors and when I activate (i.e. click on) an different application while playing CIV4 the game automatically minimizes.
Is there a way to prevent CIV4 from minimizing when I'm using another application on the second monitor?

Think and then ask...
To use both monitors w/o CIV4 Minimizing you can play NOT using "Full-Screen Mode"
To take off "Full-Screen Mode" go to Advanced -> Options -> Graphics and unselect Full Screen Mode.

You got it, sorry I didn't read your first post sooner I have dual 17 inch CRT's. You might only need to hit the "maximize" button in the top right of the Civ4 window to properly align it to your screen when in windowed mode. CS

The question remains, "How do you get the mouse pointer to lock to the scree so that you can still scroll the map with the mouse?"
Thank you in advance for any feed back.

the only way I've found is to mouse "click" your way around the map (either the big local map you see on your screen or the small "world" map in the corner)
