I've got a big problemo. I'm no computer expert so it could be something really simple and if you have a solution please explain it in terms a deaf sheep would understand. About half the time I start a new civ game (SP or MP), when I am about an hour into the game (it seems to be roughly the same amount of time each time), my computer shuts down without any warning except for some odd noises just moments before. Also I have a lot of trouble connecting to peers from the lobby. I expect this is common and would like to know how to use the email mp. I've entered the ladder but darent start a competitive match until i get these problems fixed. Many thx in advance

Can you give us the detailed specs on your computer and/or email me the dxdiag text file, if you don't know what I mean I can explain that too.

looks like you have a heat problem, open your computer and clean the ventilators on the CPU cooler, that should help

Many thx in advance I agree with opferlamm clean out the case ,but also run memtest86+ it's a memory diagnostic program just burn the iso image to a cd and reboot with it in the cd drive and let it scan for a few hours . Also it sometimes helps to get a blue screen error message ,but by default xp will just reboot on error so go to control panel > system > advanced tab > click settings under startup and recovery > uncheck "automaticly restart" under system failure then hit ok ,ok and close control panel.
