Howdy to all my fellow CIV players, especially of the Ladder Persuasion. It saddens me to announce that I seem to have an Evil Twin. Alas, my dear mother neglected to inform me that I was born with an evil counterpart...
I understand from some recent comments that there is a CIV player out there who's name appears exactly as my own and who has been warmly welcomed into various games. Said imposter then has gone on to wreak havoc in these games by acting without honour and doing stuff to crap out those games.
My challenges are this: there is no way that I want to change my name at this time as my technical expertise ends once I've remembered what to research next after pottery, so I'm not capable of changing my name around to foil this villain. Changing passwords or trying to track down who this scoundrel is via ip address is also something beyond my desire to attempt.
Here's what I recommend: Firstly: If the game is NOT an UltraQuick OCC game, ask yourself if this really is Bopper. Secondly: If you are in a game with someone bearing the tag [KC]Bopper, please feel free to ask some identity verification questions. It doesn't matter what the questions are as I am confident that by the tone of my answer you will be able to verify that it really is ME. Thirdly: If my imposter is reading this, please, I beg you, take this sage advice and GET A LIFE!
Thanks kindly for your patience y'all Du Real Bop

now then...
How do we know that the REAL [KC]Bopper is posting this and not the fake one?
I mean, come on - all you canadians look alike!
seriously though, if you're in a ladder game with [KC]Bopper, ask him to LOG-ON to the main ladder page then check and see if he's logged on.

He must be using some invisible asscii character in his name that doesn't show up to the eye, but gets around the login security by not being the same a [KC]Bopper....
Please let me know if I'm in the lobby and you suspect that you are talking to a fake bopper, I can track his IP at the very least.

When he wrote i saw that he had a sign in his name [(KC]bopper. something like this, it seems to be hidden in the lobby [(KC]Bopper - as you posted, with the open parents before the KC would be a pretty blatant and visible as a fake Once again, BEST way if you think there is a fake in your game is to have them SIGN-IN to the main ladder page and then check to see if that player signed it. It's password protected by the player/system In C3, the was the most common method to verify players
