Hey. I've been pretty inactive of late. Tried to come back for a game a time or two, but my ISP keeps bailing on me. That should be sorted in a couple of weeks, so hopefully I can get some more civ in then . I was wondering: Is the ladder more or less active than before? Perhaps SPM or CS could advise.

Ladder activity always drops off some when the warmer Spring weather comes.

We dropped down a little bit in Feb, but then people are back at work and it only has 28 days as well. We had 17K matches in Dec, 19K in Jan, and dropped to 14K in Feb, we are at 10K so far in March and will likely hit back up to the 17K again by the end month, but the warm weather does tend to get people outside and not at there comps.

Yes but you can play FFH2 as a ladder game as long as all players are ladder and they all agree to report it as a ladder game, it may not be balanced for MP though but that doesn't stop people from playing it on the ladder.

I think every game has a limited lifespan and these days this game is lacking a bit of variety. I guess that's why people play the FFH2 mod.
I saw a few ladder players from civ4 in the Supreme Commander lobby in the few times i tried it. In fact i see many of the civ4 ladder players in a lot of strategy games i play.
If anyone cares why i'm not playing, i'm currently staying with family in Boston as part of a long world trip i'm doing (visiting freinds and relatives in the Americas, Europe and Asia).
I'll have to see if i can get a copy of civ4 to play on this old laptop for the boring bits of my holiday.

yo church. I'm on all the time. It is getting a little slower but the same civ addicts are still there. I'm sure things will pick up when global warming kicks off the next ice age. But if the ozone layer dissapears and it gets really hot, people will have to stay inside. So that will also incease attendence. Either way its good for me

Well the Ladder Admin staff is certainly open to ideas of how to keep and increase the number of games being played here. If the time is right for mods to add to the experience we can certainly take your input on what kinda mods are right for the situation now. I could likely get UQC and UU Madness recoded for WL's 2.08.

as long as mods are in a seperate lobby i see nothing but attrititon, the game can not easly adapt, my hopes are for a all around better interface in civ5, without rediculaus comp requierment increases,

I lament the fact that Firaxis did not give us a GUI editor. Mods is the only reason the C3C ladder is still active.

The reason FFH2 is not in the Warlords lobby is because it's based on Civ4 not Warlords. CS
