In The middle of War? Slaving the nuts outta your population? too many unhappy faces to work land? Thrown into strike with negtative 200 gold comming in? No need to fear, Game Theory is here....... Just when you thought slavary couldnt get any better, I had to come and take it to the next level. If you find yourself slaved to the brim with 200 calavary going to war and you have 900 unhappy faces at home and you realize your calavary is disappearing without enough to pillage, all you need to do is get the culture meeter to 100% every city build gold and magically you will never, ever, ever ever ever go into strike whether you are - 50 to -500 gold.

Ahh but is that with the patch that jsut came out today? If so that is pretty damned significant Like the old bug of staying in anarchy stops strike

Sounds very clever. Why not post it in the strategy forums though?

Actually it applies in any situation of too much unhappyness - emacipation, loss of resources, not in monarachy, but ofocurse you realized that and you were just joking Slavry will just end up being the trait that will need this the most. Keep in mind that all cities will still continue to grow through all this...........

oh'MAN - what did you tell him for!!??!?!?!?!?!
slavary and calavary, when I first read the post I was thinking, "what the hell is he talking about spit and the Temple Mount for?"
ROFL!!
(and then after "emacipation" I couldn't figure out how skinny and starved fit into it, lol)
Kids now days, feed'em - send them to school so they can play civ in the library - and what do they do? Use the books to sit on so they can reach the end-turn key.....

Leave it to game theory to realize the obvious yet again....when you set your culture to 100% your cities celebrate "we love the X day" and don't have to pay maintenance. So then you only have to pay for your army with wealth - not too tough. Good job captain obvious!
PS for someone who supposedly writes for a living you sure can't spell at all.

If 200 calvinists showed up at my borders I'd put out the white flag straightaway.

Well its funny that you say that, nota, I just happen to have a picture on my house computer that was taken like 3 weeks ago and was featured in the most recent issue of my Magazine. This was taken at the Beverly Hills Hotel the morning after a Playboy party and a few hours before a pool party at NBA star Stephan Marburys estate. BH Hotel was also nice enough to deck us all out in their clothes due to them being all dirty from the theme from the previous night We snagged ourselves the AR for a major record label and 3 bunnies. Also making guest appearances in the picture we have the guy which the movie "Hitch" is based off of . To my left we have the Margarita Prince, you may know who the Margarita King is and to his left you have the owner of 5 major clubs in LA, 1 being Element Of course if any of you people lived in L.A you could pick up a copy of the Beverly Hills Times and get the full scoop on that particular weekend...... I could search through my office computer and get some more "revealing" pictures to post, but I fear I would be booted from the boards PS we were all having "Brunch"
