FROM APOLYTON
WARLORDS PATCH 2.08 OUT (31 October 2006, 15:23 | Civ4 | 51 comments) Today the long-awaited patch for Civilization IV: Warlords was released by 2K Games. Initially there was a lot of confusion due to the wrong version being accidentally released by some websites, but you can now download the official and correct version from the Apolyton Directory. This version is 63.75 MB large and in RAR format (requires a program like WinRAR to extract).
If you downloaded the file earlier today and it`s only 59.1 MB large, you will probably need to re-download it, and reinstall Warlords if you`ve already installed it as well, or you may encounter problems now or later (for example for future patches, MP games, etc). The full change log was already posted a few days ago [see story], but is now also available in the aforementioned Directory link and in this forum thread in our Civ4 forum thread where you can also discuss this patch. Thanks to JamieCiv4Files for first bringing this news to our attention.

No-CD cracks are not the problem, infact only foolish gamers use no-cd cracks to crack a game because when a new patch is out they are screwed. Im sure im not allowed to mention how its done here, but anyone with a access to a search engine, 20 mins on there hands and a few brain cells can work it out. (Thats pretty much the whole ladder minus B(antams)NP, only joking) No-CD hacks mean you don't have to waste time finding the CD, just double click and play whatever - a god send. If you keep the original exe file in a safe folder then you can easily replace the cracked exe and replace with the original and then update the patch and for the few days it takes to crack the patch use the CD again. DD i didnt mean using the CD, i meant using CD images instead this means as soon as a patch comes out you can still play the game. And you have a back-up at all times, this is why i suggested using no-cd cracks is not the best way to "not use the CD" This is not advertising piracy, because if you have the game bought or not its worth making images of it in case the CD gets messed up. Now if i want to play any game on my harddrive, its just a case of double click rather then finding no CD crack or putting in a CD or whatever.
