hehe glad I don't deal with these headaches anymore ;D PS-MMV think of emailing SPM or Canuck with this info? Seems a tad mroe appropriate then trying to rip a strip off of them in the forums. I see dead people (and the dead see things that aren't there) Harmless, perhaps, but if you look closer over the past 3 days of this multiple-profile false reporting, you'll also see that Patroit is also playing in normal ladder games and both eaning and giving real loss reports to legitimate ladder players. Nah, it doesn't hurt a thing. And poor old fried, he's been working with firaxis so long he thinks three days is three hours (even with +15 hours between posts, lol). can you say "aware?" ROFL!

I'll find out what's the issue this time, fear not, but really other than being computer idiots they are hardly effecting the stability of the ladder. If they had the skill to climb the ladder and could do real damage to the standing I'd be quick to ban them. But seems they are only good for some drama on the forums CS Jesus surely if its the same family reporting each other all the time cant you boot them? after all they quit and join on a daily basis aint that a bit unfair to the rest of us

I personally remember all admins dealing with British at one point or another. Match cooking is a no-no. Imo he should have ip banned.
Rule#19
MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS NOT ALLOWED: There has been an increase in potential duplicate accounts. In order to clarify the rule found in the generic MyLeague rules it is mandated to state the following:
It is prohibited to have multiple accounts playing the CIV4PLAYERS league. Any account found to be a duplicate will be removed at the discretion of the Head Admin.
You must have unique email address to play the CIV4PLAYERS league. Any player found to have duplicate or similar email address will be investigated and requested to change their email to a unique address, or face removal at the discretion of the Head Admin.
Any player found to have the same IP address as another, will be requested to explain why. It is not prohibited to have multiple players on the same computer but it NOT PERMITTED under any circumstances for players at the same location to report matches against each other. “Cooking” games will be considered cause for immediate and permanent banning. This rule will be strongly enforced.

I went and read the Civ3 board today - now I understand why you're here.
we all know the rules, that's why so many here have posted about the continued incidents.

A large loving family that enjoys spending time together playing CIV. It's just wonderful that that kind of close knit family bond still exist in the rush rush every man for himself modern era we live in.
For life of me can't imagine what all the fuss is about. This is something to be cherished and emulated by everyone that all these brothers and sisters in the household are so playful with each other.
Maybe some of you parents that can not make time for their families are letting their jealousy show through. Shame on you! Just learn from the perfect example that has been demonstrated right in front of your eyes and take time to play with your loved ones as often as possible, for the love you give shall be returned with interest.
To tell you the honest truth, when I witness something like this, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and fills me with a desire to give all you little fellows out there a big warm long caring embrace.
Come here you! OOXXOOXXOOXOXO TTFN

It is apparent that this ladder needs to go back to being an invite only ladder. If it is to much work for our admins to process invitations, then we need some admins that have more time to devote to it.
It is also apparent that we need our admins to enforce our rules. I am not trying to bash any admins here, but being an admin is work, and if the work isn't getting done, then the ladder community suffers.
We have 9 admins but all the work appears to be getting done by only 2 or 3 of them. Time for some changes.

What's wrong with multiplying like rabbits? Dont mind it dosnt bother me whats wrong is hes making a mockery out of the ladder in general most ladder players would never act in such a way This is one more reason why the open ladder system was a bad idea IMO it gives the ladder a bad name at the moment more people are withdrawing than joining the Ladder guess that says enough

It is apparent that this ladder needs to go back to being an invite only ladder. You want to harm the ladder because of one idiot? I don't think it's a good idea. Who cares about him, anyway?

If you notice, most of there accounts have been withdrawn, I'm not going to go into the details of the life of this family, because franky it's none of anyones business but there's and the admins as it relates to the ladder.
They are not harming the ladder and the admins do have more important functions to take care of for the members than worrying about a few misguided teenagers.
Some of you may think that this is just one person, I assure you that it is a family, I've spoken to the father of this group many times and he is a busy man as well trying to keep a grip on his house hold. Keeping a grip on the family computer is but one(and not the most important) thing on his list.
I have enphasized the rules to all of them, but that doesn't mean that some of the bored teenagers won't occasionally report matches to each other or delete or change there siblings passwords etc. Unless you consider possible manipulation of the 600-700 area rankings a threat to the ladder, I suggest that any concerned ladderites email myself directly on this matter, and NOT post your concerns in the forums. This is not a "diplomaniac" situation and it will be treated in the context it deserves.
I will leave this thread open for 24hrs and then it will be locked and archived. I do not expect to have to explain this situation again in public. If you don't get reports from any of these kids, file a non-report and they will get the same treatment as everyone else.

If you want the ladder treated as a childs playground then I suppose what they do here does not matter much. PS pass out the crayons

I take the management of the ladder seriously, but it's a matter of risk vs return on our time and effort. And in this case the risk is very low. If there antics do get out-of-hand again they know what the result will be, but I'm not going to spend valuable time tracking them down like criminals, I resevse that effort for real threats to the ladder.

Check the daily news in the forum CS. Just for today so far, 18 quit and 3 joined. If declining numbers is not a threat then I'm not real sure what is. Close the doors again for registering on this ladder and eject the ones that make a mockery of it. If this is not done soon then the numbers I fear will continue to drop and registration will as well. Unless you care for the type that play only one or two games and then quit or never play again. I beleive what this ladder wants are long standing members that play on a regular basis and are adult about the way they approach the game. Correct me if I'm wrong.
