I don't get it. Was there a post before ImmoLord_of_Civ's or did he just make a thread that said "Civ3 is better" and then posted hahahaha?

Hi Immortal Lord. Long time no see. Still playing civ 3 I see. Are you back in New Orleans yet or still stuck in Baton Rouge?
Anyway nice to hear from you even if it is only to wind us civ4 players up. You never were much good at civ so dont bother coming over here to civ4. I couldnt bear to watch you in a teamer.

definately not better played my first civ3 cton yesterday (not played civ3 in over 2 years) and guess what nobody said it was 1 city elim in civ3 so along came CTON (nice ladie) with a huge stack and no more Bantams plus this was after 3 reloads and 1 hour in lobby waiting for enough players for a 7 man cton just to add insult to injurie i was leading on points at the time was fun though but not as much fun as WL

The point leader in a C3C cton should expect a stack to come. You are the target!
Wether CIV4 or C3C is the better game is not a very good question. The games are different and each will have fan appeal to different groups. The biggest difference is that C3C has more "tension". The end-of-turn surprise attack at whatever location comes as a big surprise to the defender. The attacker carries this out with split second timing. These surprise elements and tense moments don't exist in CIV4. CIV4 just doesn't have the 'white knuckle' element.
On the other side CIV4 is a much "richer" game in terms of strategic options.

I don't know what games you're playing whiplash but when I'm playing a great 5v5 teamer and my opponent moves 100 cavs into my land with 8 seconds left that's definitely a white knuckle moment for me!

What if that 8 secs was reduced to 1 sec and you dont only have to worry about just a single calture bombed city. And you dont already have your cats selected because you can predict the move about 15 turns before he even does it?

ya unrealistic - delay should be at least 1 hour - the time the scout on hill close to city see em riding towards city

I really wish these games would catch on more. Sure it means while you're out trying to kill one person, someone else can be sending a stack to you at the same time. exciting stuff! ;D

I enjoy the CIV4 ancient era and maybe the classical era better but concerning the later eras, especially future era starts, ill take c3c and concider it much more fun, not taking bugs into consideration.
If it wasn't for the hot join feature and the improved interface with CIV I would probably just go back and play future c3c. but I would imagine by now it's starting to get difficult to get enough players to get a c3c game going.
With c3c I hardly went a day without playing a game, especially once I got hooked on futures, and sometimes would only get a hour of 2 of sleep a night for weeks, due to a just one more game mentality. In the last 2 weeks I only played a few ancient ctons of CIV.
BTW, anyone now when the civ5 release date is. Maybe they'll take the best aspects of the 2 games and put it together for an awesome game. Until then I'll proably just be killing time boring you all in the forums. I never wrote in the c3c forums, was to busy playing.

Well it's not all bad. Civ 4 isn't addictive like civ 3 was to me...... so I study, sleep, work etc... more

Also think it would be a really wise time to start CIV5, ive been told these games take like 2 years to make so now would be a nice time!
