Ok so I'm really new to ladder, and yesterday night (technically this morning), I left a 4v4 ladder teamer because I it was getting real late and I knew I would not be able to play 2-3 more hours of Civ without falling asleep. The lag combined with players forgetting to end their turn really took a toll on me and I would like to apologise to players in that game, especially my teammates.
Now the thing is, I'm sure this kind of behaviour is frowned upon and has some sort of warning/punishment, but how do I report it?

Technically you're supposed to report a loss to every other person in the teamer.

its not a technical issue its a fact if you quit any ladder game you report a loss to all the other players in the game

It's not a huge deal so long as you report to everyone including your own teammates. I've quit a few teamers for various reason and I always report to every person in the game. That's just the way we do things here, besides it's a rule. Although if you really have to go for an emergency or whatever and can find a sub for yourself or one can be found quickly enough most people will let you slide on the reports. Of course if your team loses you have to report anyways.

Ummm the thing is I don't really know which side won. I only remember DjF was on the opposing team, as well as another Singaporean dude.

thats why u should ALLWAYS write names of ALL players down whilke waiting in staging room - pretty boring place with lot spare time anyway. Also u can check later reports from other if u won like that

Quickest and easiest is to take a screenshot just before launch. Save that file and check it for player names later.

Wow thats a lot of obvious things I could have done. Didn't really occur to me TBH >_<; Ok anyway I checked DjF's daily results, and there was no entry of that game. Is it because Teamers are entered differently?

They may have agreed to scrap the game. Considering the lateness of the hour and the slow pace of the game, I think most players would have readily agreed to a scrap.

Solution: Always play games with me. I am completely anal retentive and record all player names, their rank on ladder at that time, and the order in which they won/lost. I send e-mail reminders after 12 hours if slow to report and file a formal non-report after 24. I also record the name of the game and approx time in my time zone. I am a real party animal.

regardless if the game was scrapped after he quit - he still owes the reports to the players that remained when he left.
