Then i put mine name but all acting then they dont know reading etc.. Now i must sending screen shoot to all players in game bc ... they dont know to read messges in last turn of the game. Fredy why names dont shown in victory screen. Only killed players names we see..... Need patch for that. It will be a lot job for admin if that bug dont be fixed in future.

I just played an anonymous cton, and I noticed that too Lestat. I've reported the bugs to the dev's, but until the 1st patch the ladder policy will be that players much "click threw" the end game screens and chose "play on" and post there real names. I will not process and non-reports from games due to mistakes from anomymous ctons/ffa's unless this proceedure is followed.

If some one dont want to put hes name or dont want reading other names bc hes suck, wot is rule about that ? Lets ban anonymus cton. Well if it's just one player then you can figure out which player it is. We are not going to ban anonymous ctons. But if some player(s) think they can get out of reports by not admitting who they are, they are playing a very dangerous game. Because I'll kick them off the ladder for that variety of bad sportmenship. CS

I have played 1 anon cton and we had 3 kills so their names showed up. Problem was that they didnt report because they didnt know who to report to.
Seems to me you need to do 2 things when playing anon ctons. Host must tell all players to take note of the names in the setup screen so you know who to report to if you die early.
And in last few turns, or even last turn, everyone must say who they are. In the game we played from about 3 turns out we took turns guessing who was who according to game style and comments they had made through the game. We all got it wrong but all names were known and the order to report was known.
That being said I wont be playing this style much as it is just another thing to do which is easily forgotten and then it causes more hassle than its worth. It seems a simple problem that should have been picked up in tests. Did anyone actually play to the end of a anon game before the exp was released?

It was tested in the earlier version with no problems, so I can only assume bugs were introduced later and we never caught them as we didn't expect a good mechanism to be broken later. As to the names issue, that should be common sense, as I've mentioned someone here before, you have to collect the names in the staging room, this is just a matter of the host educating people and should be easy to solve. And then at the end of the game you have to reveal your name, this will only last until the next patch.

Perhaps when a player dies all players could be revealed to only that person. I am assuming when the game ends that it's supposed to reveal everyone, so that should be fixed later. In addition, I think it would be good to have a way of knowing if a player is on random or picking a civ when in the staging area. Perhaps the gap that is left from going anonymous could read "random" or nothing if they are picking. This would prevent players, especially the host, from picking in a CTON after anon goes up. Lastly, all private msging should be disabled when a special box is Xed in the staging area - would be really useful for cton just in case, although I think most people don't do it.

I've played several anon ctons so far, my observations and advice:
- record names of all players during the set phase - when someone is eliminated, their name shows up - they should then refer back to their list of players and make note of who to report to, remaining players can expect a report from this person - for all who are left at end of game, record the 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc civ names, and go SLOWLY thru the final screens - YOU WILL SEE THE ACTUAL PLAYER NAMES AND THEIR FINAL SCORES right after the game replay screen - if all else fails, stay in the game and keep playing after victory, you can then speak to all players and reveal names
* I have noticed that many many new ladder players have just joined us with the expansion release - not all are familiar with the concept of reporting.... - use patience here, suggest a careful reading of Case's Ladder Rules and Policies, point out where they can find these rules - I am noticing alot of Late Joining issues: these rules are covered in the above Case's Rules pages but are NOT BEING INTERPRETED THE SAME by everyone - If someone 'Hot Joins', please pause the game and come to a consensus of how to proceed and how the scoring will work
AND BOP'S NUMBER 1 TIP FOR FFA'S: PASSWORD PROTECT YOUR DAMN CIV TO PREVENT A LATE JOINER TAKING OVER AN AI CIV!!!!!!!!!

I discovered another problem, if you have to reload, you can see who everyone is in reload staging. When we relizeed that in our screen we decided to scrap it.

Yes after Firaxis was informed of the issue, they went to bat for us so that GS would stop banning people for using C4F in the WL lobby.
