Well as a rank no. 18 (top ever 5) I played my 4th or 5th 1 vs 1 to keep him MrGameTheory happy. It didn't work, he is still not happy. Hehe, it is called a pre-emptive strike. His first chariot attacked my skirmisher outside his empty second city and lost. My skimisher was damaged and got a promotion, so I bung that in and it goes to yellow and has the +10% by which stage his chariot from the city attacks. I don't know how he came to a 90% chance attacking a yellow skimisher promoted to +10%, but I'm glad to say it annoyed him. Fact is I had the initiative, pressing on his cities and instead of calmly dealing with it he throws in the chariots and then whines. After which point my horse-archers come and round up his settlers and workers and move in for the kill. I've some cute screenshots I wouldn't have said a thing, but for the whole performance I got for my units having the audacity to win and then my following it up promptly.

But in the end, far more cton and teamer games are not worth the investment in the grand scheme of things and I dont sit here like most people and have 4-10 hours a day to play this game. If everyone gets into the swing of teamers and ctons there is no great players to play duels and out of this happening I push for more duels and it being hip in peoples minds. "hip"?

Hip : characterized by a keen informed awareness of or involvement in the newest developments or styles
You know, being in the in crowd like theory and all his friends that play duels. Us cton and teamer players are the squares. Maybe those ctons are just a fad like the internet.

it isn't hip to use the word hip I think you mean cool? Me I can't stand 1v1's generally, I have more fun watching paint dry. I don't think it's that surprising this minority event isn't more popular.

wow it takes some balls to brag about a game that you won for the sole reason of my Chariot not being able to kill your skirmisher with a 97% odds of winning and you ended up taking a city with the same skirmisher. I can see the joke that the gods are playing on me in allowing this to happen and you being the type of person that would post such a thing if it were to occur. In the end, I am obviously not invinciple and I lose in all types of games all the time, but when something like that happens, I feel compelled to just resign in the middle of a game, like I did, because I dont react well to divine intervention. but i dont think u should attack him even your chariot had a winning odd of 99%. your reward of winning just killing one of his skirmisher doesnt deserve the risk of losing 1 of your city. someone say civ is “quite a bit of luck " i say ppl u cant handle the gamble but u can decide on whether goin for a gamble or not. all the secrets is just reward vs risk.dont attack if it is unnecessary or u may suffer much for that.do an average odd combat when u have lots of units and the worst thing is a nonprofit.attack if the combat can determine the whole situation even when the winning odd is just 10%........
