This is the thread to comment on this NC, and propose more ideas for future NC's. The Admin/TD team has spent a fair bit of time discussing the setup of this NC, feel free to comment, we still have 2 weeks to fine tune this event and your feedback plays a key role in this.

First, very good job DTA.
You wrote 2 city elim on the OCC reny.
Fast timer is maybe too fast for the 2 futur and the modern.

Sorry, looks to me like another CCC, lots of teamers Guess the chance to create a "different tournamet" will be missed. But if all happy np. Will be interesting too see which country will have enough players. Small countries with a small roster will have difficulties.

It Does seem like a Mirror of the CCC with just a few Mods thrown in
Event 3 start time sucks for us europeans i for one Wont be awake at 10PM Est thats 3am GMT
I would suggest only the 1st two events take place on the Friday due to various timezones and Work related issues!

I am sorry, but I am unhappy with the events. In one sentence- too much teamers. I count 14 Events, 13 are teamers or duels. 2v2v2v2 3v3 3v3 2v2 1v1 5v5 3v3 CTON 2v2 3v3 3v3 2v2 2v2v2v2 I mean, It’s a “Nations Cup”, so you as organizers had the chance to organize more games like the ironman on CCC or the CTON Event. I see it just more interesting playing in a CTON or Ironman like Game next to 7 other Nations in one game. This is Civ becoming almost real with players in a game really coming from those countries you just play in the game. You could even open your horizon for once and includeone game which is played with full game options, including trading(no tech trading), open boarders and diplomacy. Doesnt has to be, but just to say that only teamers is not so hot for all players around the globe. I am disappointed from the mono-type System of this NC. This tournament should be called "Nations Teamer Cup" or "CNC"

Total overload on mods without much time to try them.
Generally this is more events than CCC with more participants required. Scale down.

It is again pretty close to the same thing on Sun with a count of 10 needed. With a roster size of a min of 6 and a max of 25, we felt that needing 11 players was a reasonable expectation. Only 2 mods are being used in events that are for points. The UQC, which was used in the last CCC, and the Vanilla. Both of these Mods are stable and are preforming as they were designed to do so. The UUMad is probably still in need of some balancing on what resources for what units, hence the reason it is an exhibition event. It will not be counted for points and is totally optional. The total number of events that contribute points is 13, the exact same number that was in the last CCC. As for the total number of players needed compared to the CCC, we felt that clans are a little more exclusive as to who they allow in so have a more limited number of players. When we break everyone down by nation instead, we should be able to generate larger groups of players for most nations. The smaller groups should join together to make a larger team.

I don't even see anything like that in any of the team threads. And of course the rosters include more players than will actually participate - just in case people show up, while in reality many can't come. The real attendance will be lower that the full roster (and even full rosters so far won't be enough for most teams).

I think you should remove the big game 5vs5 to have a perfect "number of player needed".
Indeed this big teamer need 5 players and it is too much i fear.
And i dont speack about the lag we'll have!!!!

I really don't want to cut the event completely from the schedule. Would it be better if we reduce it from a 5v5 to a 3v3 instead? It is the only Indu event and I would really hate to lose it. This would make only needing 8-9 players on Sat.

Did I read Event #8 right?
Does this mean that multiple players from the same team can enter and gang up on others?
And regarding the OCC event on HB_Maze 3 plots wide: that map is absolutely horrible for OCC. Why not use HB_Inland or at least HB_TBG?

For the event 4 Quick Civ the timer is too fast (and 120 turns even too much I think), a normal timer will be better.

Re Event #3 - OCC Reny 3v3 on HB Maze is NOT a very good map. We've tried it with the maze 3 or even 4 plots wide and found it to be virtually unplayable. A ring, wheel or even pangea would be more interesting for allowing various options for team play - but the maze is very difficult to make teaming work and tends to throw people into polar positions or have peaks/unworkable tiles in your very limited fat cross. Please change the map option for this game. Pretty please.
