Luckily there are some dedicated ren players that are helping make ren more balanced in a mod for warlords. Not sure if I'm supposed to say but it should be posted on the forums this weekend. It will solve a lot of the balance issues including cossacks. I think that all we need to balance ren is make so riflemen can be researched just as fast as cavalry. Atm rifles takes about twice as many beakers total than cavalry for the requisite techs. Btw don't cavalry use rifles? I never thought there was such a thing as mounted musketmen. Shouldn't rifling be a requirement for cavalry?

About the not being able to move -any- units if moved late on a turn. In Vanilla you could move with 1 sec left and then still press "wait" or so to get to move another unit and scroll through them, in WL you cant move any units and is therefor totally stuck except advisors and such, if you move at end of turn and dont highlight some other unit. Its a major problem... although i think ive found a trick to get rid of it

sounds like that was the workaround for the move last sec, stack move 1. sec bugexploit

sounds like that was the workaround for the move last sec, stack move 1. sec bugexploit Yes it was like an attempt at fixing the stack move exploit that was not tested enough, and/or was decided it was ok...and no I didn't get to test this fix. But they do know it's a bug now. CS

I'd like to know why they won't let you stack all units if they have a different amount of movement left. If I want to move a stack of units I should be able to. I shouldn't have to micro a stack just to move them....
And why did they change boat dropping? Instead of taking a stack of units in a boat and moving them onto a land tile you have to move units one by one. Extremely annoying.

I have discovered something I really do not like about the change that catapults do do not do collateral on other catapults, If one guy has ivory and you dont, Killing an elephant/catapult stack is almost impossible. Axe/ horse die to ele spear die to cata....Hugs stacks of mostly cata are also a prob esp if you dont have horse.

i think the only way to fix the problem to cas is that they have no defense and can be captured kinda like cruise missles from civ3, except they can retreat

It takes a bit to amalgamate all the small bugs that us and all the SP fan sights are finding, make a beta patch, test it, make a final patch, test it for QA and then have 2K approve it, then release it. In the end the idea is to get a patch that fixes everything we want and introduces no new problems, and do this the firs time, so rushing it is in most cases not a good thing.

dan a spear attacking a elephant cata stack ll allways attack elephant never the cata, it s weired but they made it like that Soon to be remedied. Heh. I'd never even noticed this crazy anomaly. It works for other units too. Like if there is a stack of catas and archers the spear will hit the archer. However if there are catas and warriors the spear will hit the catas. WEIRD. I dunno if there is any rule or pattern for this. Presumably this will all be fixed in the next patch. Also the way catas inflict damage has changed. Say u hit a stack of axes each axe will receive 0.5 damage (10%). If u hit a stack of knights, each will receive 0.7 damage (7%). So, simply the stronger the unit the more damage will receive, however the less hp (or% of health) it will lose. Before WL damage inflicted by collateral was more random, well based on normal battles. I dunno whether catapults are less or more effective as a result, or whether it makes no difference, cos i can't get into my vanilla civ for some reason.

like the cat can chose from attacking the "city defence" or the units; would be fine if a unit could chose between attacking siege or unit (only then attack the one it is counter against)
Catas should always attack non cata unit first.

Cats take no collateral damage either unless all the other unit types in the stack are dead. Cats are the last to block, as long as any other unit is alive, those units seem to block :/

I know that warriors don't block. But perhaps this is the only unit. And that's not very useful to know anyway.
