I have noticed this happeneing a few times. The last time was ren era game, 1/2 way in more or less. City has been 'bombed' and is equiped with walls and castle. 100% Defensive bonus shows. later the bonus shows 80% few turns later it is 100% this continued throughout the game. I noticed no conditions to coincide with the timing. Anyone?

Yours or mine? ;D
No, I would have noticed, the % is right there where the red 'were really pissed at you' sign is ...
I have seen it several times, but only watched closely last game.

It's a normal anomaly.

Gunpowder units ignore walls and castles, therefore 80%. The rest of the units will be at 105% or 125% or whatever.

yes, I understand that part. Yet why would it display a varying % rate every couple of turns, seemingly random.

Since you guys are too noob to put two and two together, I will explain. The percentage changes because of the first attacker in a highlighted stack and it's damage type. Gunpowder class units ignore the walls therefore when one is the first attacker the wall's percentage is not added. When a non gunpowder unit is the first attacker, like say a knight, then the % will increase again to reflect that. GG.

There were no attacks going on at the time when the changes where displayed. Again I do not always see this happen, post disco of GP; This does not always toggle either. The concept of gunpowder units and walls/castles are not new to most, so get off your high horse. Your over-usage of the term 'noob' (you use it like a pronoun) has become comic, please go back to fawning over your 15 pictures(once was plenty humorous for ost of us) you have posted of your (own) ugly mug in our pictures forum and leave us alone.

Just switch between your own musketman and your own non-musketman and you will understand everything.
