And a new server for a multinational would cost what? Couldnt they take it out of the profits?

well they could but the service and all together would coast K2 to much like 5000 $ i bet after they investing so many Millions in the last weeks to buy other company's, they dont have the money for it, would be to expensive Yea since 1,52 i am having huge problems with connection specially with US players, i have no idea why, if i play only with EU player all works great and np, but if there is a NA player my game is aways crashing first i though it was my PC but even on my new one its crashing and getting CTD, and in 109 i never had those problems even when we played 5vs5 ore bigger games, would be great if that could be fixed Germ

The peer problem has nothing to do with the patch, the only reason mp sucks now is becuase there are more people playing now than before, especially after christmas, and the server cannot handle more people. One of the features of the new patch is that people can chat from stagging room. They can see loby, players list, budies list etc. It cost server resources to. That mean that players in lobby and also players in stagging room taking resources from server. When game starting with IP features we dnt see loby chat from staging room etc. and that mean IP games kill feature which was delivered with new patch. Also i have less conection isues in last week.

Wow I understood all of that. You been taking English lessons Lestat ;D Good point. using Civ4f will enable you to see the lobby from direct ip. So just get that. No s**t; a case for Sherlock Holmes; so what your saying is connecting is still hard, still 100+ games but it seems to have gotten easier since the Christmas holidays; Watson my cloak, we have a murder to solve: the games afoot I voted a big improvement, apart from build costs, but then I'm dubious as to whether it's a coding issue or the server. Maybe it's both? Who knows?

U kno wot u say ? U say that u dnt need loby chat in stagging room. That mean that firaxis done crap work. I thing that budies or players list is enuf in stagging room. Enuf for iniviting preople in games bc lobby is over spamed and players dnt see my invitation in game.

I latly got sometimes problem when hosting that I have huge lag when getting into 1. turn, I see others talking but they dont see me.
had a look into my task manager and saw that my firewall was running high
just saving and reload helps - still nasty and anoying
hope this is being adressed

yeah this is a old thread and over the past few days it has got better, but today wasted 50 mins, yes 50, connecting to any game, ladder, open, whatever.
Im not gonna pretend i know what the problem is, but this is no way good enough. Voted MP game of the year by gamespy...Hmmm i wonder how many minutes they played it for, if indeed they played it at all MP.
The most popular word in the lobby is "bad peer", i mean omg is half the world a bad peer, NO WAY GOOD ENOUGH!!
And one more thing during this 50 mins in the lobby i noticed is a silly amount of spam in the lobby, would be nice if you can only type 3 messages per 15 secs or something like that.
Moan over, but these are really fustrating issues!!
