Most people associate bum-rushing with mindless noobs who lack any long term strategy and must rely on a purely military strategy early on, however, especially if you are playing a better player, bum-rushing can be a real strategic option.
Requirements:
Agressive Civ(required)
Start with mining(preferrable)
Early Start with plenty of production, but less food.
Must be a noob compared with the other players
As soon as the game begins, survey your start area. If you have plenty of grasslands, corn, and a scaterring of forest, then do not attempt a rush, and research agriculture instaead. If you have a large area of grassland-hills and a cow, then this strategy is for you. The first thing you do if you want to bum rush is beeline to bronze-working, ignore settlers early on in favors of warriors for exploration / barracks/ a worker. Focus only on production with minimal food. If you have forest, then build the worker first and use it to chop the forest for the barracks. Build warriors after that. If you have no forest, then build 1 warrior, the barracks, another warrior, and the worker in that order. Considering you have to research mining and that you have high production in your area, you should finish those items around the same time you get bronze working. Now look for your city boundary to see if you have bronze. If you don't have it in your immediate area, then give up the "bum" rush in favor of a more conservative attack, research iron and see if you get lucky. If you do have bronze in your area, then immediatly mine it and build axemen that are upgraded to meele with the barracks. The enemy should not have chariots or horse archers if you did this right, so no spears. build 3-4 units before your attack. send in your regular warrior as a vanguard to see what units the enemy has. If he has axes or archers then turn back asap and find another target and hope you reach them in time. If the city is empty, then after you attack, KEEP IT.
