What is the thinking behind not being able to see all the settings the host can?
I mean WTF, even a 5 year old kid could tell you its BS, every time i play this game i came across something new that pisses me off more then the last thing. This must be the laziest programming ever.
I just got out of a so called mirror 1v1 and we were 2 tiles from each other, he had corn/hills and copper in calital. I had totally flat land and 1 rice, i had to settle because my warrior saw his borders right away.
Bad land is part of the game but this is nonsense.

Precisely what do those two situations have to do with each other? Obviously it wasn't a mirror game, because there's no mirror setting that does that. Sounds like he switched the settings at the last moment and ended up getting lucky. Very unethical and unfortunate, but having nothing to do with how a mirror map is laid out, or any setting of the map. Even if it WAS a mirror map bug, that's not a settings issue, because there's no "Screw one player" setting, last I checked.

It was definatly mirror, and i was really annoyed when it happen but its out of my system now. But saying that does it make any sense to hide what kind of mirror it was, the same goes for TBG, inlandsea, etc etc.
I have been rattling my brains trying to figure how what the thinking is behind this. Only host know what you are playing?
The settings we played on must have been one of the mirror types that just happen to screw me over. I been trying to replicate what happen on SP but havnt been able to yet, if i do ill post a screen shot

OK i knew i wasnt going crazy, these are the settings you need: Mirror Mirror type : Inversion Team: Start seperated And this is the BS you get: World builder is open so i can see the whole map on the first turn, try these settings yourself. Is that start a joke or what? Mine wasnt as bad as that but why the hell cant you see what settings the host as set?

well, that's a pretty dumb option that shouldnt be used i think. it could have turned in your favour as easily as the hosts. "startseparated" kinda defeats the point of a mirror map.
and i agree, i see no reason why certain options should only be seen by the host. but is bitching about it here really gonna help? get on to the people that matter.

there s a option that gives u as 4 icetilestart? thats funny got do that to opp on next 1-1 It's random anyway so you may get this for yourself game like that in map. Which map except mirror have team placement setup (no TB). How In team placement i was puting start sepearted wot resulted that enemie was near me and that was 1v1 game. There was an explanation somewhere that option actually means "teams start separated". That means that enemies may start near each other instead of starting in the opposite corners.
