I'd be interested again, see if I can make it out of the ancient era alive this time.

ok I've been trying to find a balanced continent map with a single civ per continent. Found a number of interesting maps ... you have no idea how many different mods and maps there are for CIV4 and Warlords.
Then I looked at custom continents and it appears you can already do this in the game using that map and specifying how many continents to be one per team ... which I assume if you are individuals will mean you get a continent each.
Anyone have any experience with this ?

I think Whip said the starting locations are sometimes less than fair ... not sure if that is true but that is why I haven't started it. There was some talk of someone on strategamer providing a balanced map but negotiations have collapsed. I'm willing to start it up regardless and see how it works out ... I will do so on the weekend ... anyone who hasn't already expressed an interest do so here now. I will open a new thread when the game starts.

I'm sure U2 will be posting rules after soliciting player input.
I'll answer the last one. PitBoss is like PBEM but it uses a turn timer and allows for simultaneous moves. So any player can play his turn during the turn interval. PitBoss moves to the next turn if either the turn timer runs out or all players have taken their turn. These are usually set up for one turn per day but can go faster if all players are quick to play their turns. U2 will also try to arrange marathon sessions where all players get together at the same time and play up to 50 turns in a couple of hours.

I'd still like to be in if it's a pitboss game, I'll have to pass if there's going to be live sessions.
