I never questioned or suggested for a moment that you had done anything underhanded. I know you better than that.
My point was that it was just an unfortunate combination of circumstances that prevented me from defending.

True enough. I don't think anyone did anything incorrect. I hadn't even noticed that Necro actually lost a turn too.
It figures at a pivotal moment your internet connection would go down and Necro would attack whip. Arrggh!
Are we then in agreement to let things stand as they are ? If not I will stop the game and ask the admins to rule on this issue.
Please let me know asap whip. Thanks
Btw ... I think the civstats site's times are all off by an hour.

I see whip you are still having modem issues (from your game thread) so I am in order to prevent any further problems temporarily suspending game play until your connectivity is resolved. I will send a notification to the group. Please advise when things are back up and running

I have shutdown the game again while Whiplash resolves his internet issues.

You can set the time using the "Accounts" link at the top of the page. I had it for -5 GMT with adjust for daily savings time checked ... I changed to -6 (which is wrong) but now the time is correct

That teaches you for living underground. So everything is normal again now then ?

Yes, as I have often been told by members of the opposite sex, I am boringly normal.

Well, as I said in my e-mail, I think this game is no longer interesting given the way it developed.
I think U2 should host a new one where Necro has to send his first settler out in the jungle unescorted.
How's this for an idea? four or six players where each plays two civ's?
I could probably find somebody to make a "fair start" map for this concept.

Although I understand the sentiment as to wanting to end the game (as expressed in several emails since Levi was eliminated), I would be lying if I didn't say I was disappointed. I remind everyone of the commitment to play the game to the bitter end in the game agreement. That said .. I guess the game is over by mutual decision. I don't want to force anyone to continue if no one is enjoying it. I have posted the official reporting order below to conclude the game: Levi also owes reports to the remaining players in the game at the time of his elimination. Thank you all for playing. Given the sudden end of this game, contrary to the game agreement, I'm sorry I will not be hosting another.

We could have the game go 10 more turns so I could come through whips land and bltiz you as well, if that would make you happy.
Necro = Massive Ego after this game.
Seriously, I would be happy to finish the game. I think I can get the space ship out in 40-50 more turns. Just figured I would be being a d:ck, if I suggested everyone should play it out till end.

Thankyou everyone...I enjoyed the short burst I had with this game. If you should ever reconsider Warning...I would be happy to join one to the bitter end...which isn't usually that long!!!!

Steve,
I don't see this as violating the commitment to finish the game. That commitment is designed to prevent people from quitting and CREATING a game imbalance by so doing. That would put one or more players at an advantage.
In this case the die is cast. With Necro going for a Space Race victory the reporting order would not change. I just think continuing would be deadly boring.

Ah you maybe right ... I was pissed yesterday. I really didn't think it was going to end that way.
Do you have a balanced map ? I'm thinking of one civ per continent with small seas between ... would give each civ a chance to develop ... a chance for builders to have fun and then likely a world war to develop in later years.

Well, a player in the game should not make the map as he would have superior knowledge. I was thinking of enlisting a good samaritan type.

Any special programs or software changes I need to play in this venue?
