If somebody is logged in then their civ doesn't show on the list when you log in. With pitboss launcher it's programmed to log in at a certain spot so if one above is missing it will still try to log on position 6 for example but with one missing above the 6th showing is now actually the 7th in the game If the civ is passworded as usual then all that happens is that my password is rejected by the game but if the civ isn't passworded then it keeps going. ToT should be able to log in & retake it over unless my pword is now on the civ.

Well, that explains it. I saw Ian joining as I was playing the turn.
ToT, I think you can password your civ with [Alt] D in the game.

GG guys - sorry to go out so soon there I had a very decent start (especially compared to the one in Whip's game). I knew my second city was a risk but was confident of being able to defend the cap, unfortunately got messed up by a real time error of moving a fraction late & attacking an Axe in a forest. Slightly hacked off by that since it wouldn't have happened in pitboss mode but thems the breaks ;D Enjoy the game.

Please report in the following order for the 500 BC and 500 AD benchmarks. Thank you all for showing up on time and playing a lot more turns than I expected. A big thank you to Test of Time and subbing in what apparently was an awful position. The game again will be shut down starting Feb 9th until Feb 25th as I am on vacation. Stinciv is on vacation from Feb 28 th to March 14th. He is going to see if he can find a sub during that time but if not then the game will be shutdown on Feb 28th to resume again March 15th.

Since Stin abandoned CIV, my proposal would be to have the host, WarningU2, takeover Inca, if he would want to. He didn't sound to proud of his land, that I could tell, so I would assume a change of civ would be welcome.

I have resumed the game.
Whiplash has to play his turn in approx 6.5 hrs and then it will be a new turn.
Has Stin truly abandoned CIV ? I see he still has a ladder account. According to the agreement we made he will need to report to each player for the remaining bench marks unless we can get a replacement.
I will keep my civ regardless of Stin's status but thanks Necro for the consideration.

On a more serious note ... the overall feedback is that Stin needs to report the remaining benchmarks. I am waiting for him to return from vacation to give him an opportunity to report however if he doesn't I will file a non report. If he has truly quit from CIV I'm sure he won't care.

That would not be a graceful exit.

Perhaps we should pause this until a double move situation is resolved.

There is no indication of an intential double move to gain an advantage. Now did he get two moves ? Yes. But several hrs elapsed between turns ... and the clock ran out without you taking your turn. That should not be just cause to lay a double move fault IMHO. If he played and another turn took place within less than an hr then that was an intentional advantage.

I did not intend to suggest that an intentional double move was made; but nevertheless a double move did occur.
That turn is rather strange in that it took a whopping 10 1/2 hours for the turn to roll over. Necro finished his turn at 2:50 pm but stayed connected until 3:10 pm and the turn did not advance until 1:47 am on the 16th. (these times are my local time zone, 2 hours minus what is posted above) On the next turn 3 players missed playing the turn: myself, warningU2, and necro.
With a "normal" rollover I might have got a notification at a time that I could do something about it.
After waking up Monday morning I found that I had no internet connection, same thing when I returned from work in the evening. Those of you who are following the thread for my game know that my cable modem crapped out. Bottom line is that I never had the chance to play the turn. Just my kind of luck that on the only crucial turn of the game this happens.
I guess it's up to Necro to decide if he wants to keep that advantage. He'd do plenty of damage anyway with a reload.

Whip not only did I not double move, but I missed a turn completely making sure I didnt double move you.
I declared war on a turn before I could strike which I didn't need to do and then completely missed the next turn by waiting till after work to play it, or I would have taken city a turn earlier. I logged in 25 minutes after the turn timer turned over, not making any moves for prior turn.
I thought I would have time estimating by when I recieved the email but missed it and was not too happy about it. I thougth the email came around 2AM, my time, giving me till 10PM to play, and I got home from work 830PM. Not sure how I miscalculated so badly. Does the timer actually run fast?
Your welcome to load prior saves of my civ and you will see that a ship sat idle for one turn 4 squares away from the city Fertile Soil, before attacking.
