Lately I have been getting a 'program not responding' hang-up after the completion of games. My only option is to contrl_alt_delete to the task manager and end the program. Once this happens, the ONLY way I can reload CIV is to Re-start my system. Without the re-boot, any attempts of restarting of civ at this point fails back to the desktop.
Does anyone have any suggestions?? While I can still play games- rebooting my computer between every game is getting ANNOYING!
Thanks for the help!

Dunno Longhorn, but my laptop does this too...........the only difference is that I can't even Ctrl_Alt_Del out, I have complete freeze......only main button OFF does anything and then I can restart comp. When you have a few Pitboss games to play...this gets annoying! My PC doesn't do this so I feel it's a software conflict somewhere. I have FSecure anti virus on my laptop, not on my PC...I have a sneaking it may be something to do with that!

Strange to be a overheating graphics card problem. It's the same size as my PC graphics card and can cope with quite large AutoCAD files. But maybe, civ is known to eat up memory! Lestat, It's full screen mode ...well, it doesn't appear in a window so I think it is!

The only reason I can ctrl_alt_delete out instead of a total freeze is because I am using windows vista.
Its not a graphics card problem, as I can load any other game except civ, after this happens (including the graphics intensive Oblivion). Also the error occurs soley after trying to EXIT from a game after its completion- not durring a game.
