-You say in the event 14 we killed you and not fr1 because we cheated or maybe because you was so far better and was better for us to dont have you in the final. That is what sparked my suspicions. The reasons Matth gave for attacking us and the other French team not at all. Had you said, you were weaker, we wanted it over and done with already then nothing suspicious about that. What WAS suspicious was the reasons given: 1. You had more coastals - was first reason. Retort, we did not share sea zones, so that wasn't of any significance. 2. You were the greater danger. Retort, that my partner was a novice to Future and so it was hardly a scary team. When I suggested favoritism because it was a French team, I got the retort that they had been playing each other and beating each other all weekend. So I checked that out and not once did France 1 beat France 2, not even once in 5 encounters. I don't doubt France is the best Nation at Civ4 at the moment based on 4 quality clans, MDR winning the CCC and some top notch players. But, don't lie to us that in event 14, you cleared us out instead of your countrymen rather than sit back because of favouritism and it does look bad that France 1 can't win against you in 5 events, shouldn't they be called France 2?

Well maybe for frenchies just not play the following NC. I have nothing to say more. We will deeply think about your words before play again NC.
I have never been so insulted by someone in this forum. You dare to suggest that team1 has lost by agreement with team2?

No I don't seriously think it, but I do think that event 14 was influenced by nationality due to the reasona I gave above as Matth did not speak the truth on three counts.

I've always had a great time playing with all of the French players and clans. They've always been very good sports and honorable competitors. While it may look suspicious that Team 2 always defeated Team 1, I'm sure that it would happen the same way if more of the other countries entered two teams and stacked one with the majority of their All Stars.

Sure you get the point that several team from the same country give easily suspicion in such event, especially with suspicious people.
But I'm unsure that the NC goal must be to have only four team. I have a tendency to think that the main goal is to have many teams(at least eight on most of the events) and much fun. If you have 600 US players available, it's quite selfish to allow only 25 players. I don't think the aims of the NC is to be an elitist competition(but you can have elite team to play for winning). Well for this last point, that is the organisers to define their goals, but it's my comprehension from their goals.
In my view, the main problem is to have only one US team, not to have two french team.
That's the duty of the NC organisers to decide if they want an NC with four teams, or eight teams, and that's also the organisers decision to decide if they want teamers event where they are more than two teams. But don't blame us for that. Otherwise whatever the way, you will always find reason to blame us when both french team will qualify.

I will be commenting more on the future concepts the admin/TD team feel that the NC represents, so I won't do that here. But I will say that the forums are not the place for accusations about cheating, and I'm highly disappointed in you DD for doing so when you clearly know the policy on this.
DTA and the rest of the Team will be reviewing the strength's and weaknesses of the first NC so that we can improve it for the next one. And ofcourse seeking input from the ladder on many issues, including things like the purpose of the NC, and if it's good or bad to have multiple teams from large nations, all of which I have my personal opinions which i won't voice in this thread.

Well, DD, you should have ask that to me first, But there is NO WAY France 1 and France 2 cheated... I wasn't there on Event 14 (Next time I'll be, I promise ) But I trust Those players enough to know they probably wouldn't even think about it. Just like we do in CCC, If I have to take over another French clan land, I just do (I'm obviously talking about CTON/Ironman here) I'm sure people will understand some of your frustration after playing 72H in a row ;D, Also I'd like to apology fro all wrong accusations I've made during Grand melee CTON's, 2 players of the same nation next to each other should not lead to cheating nor accusations.

I would like to sincerely thank the organizers of the Nation's Cup! I really enjoyed the variety of game options and settings, but most especially the opportunity to play with some totally classy teammates and opponents.
It was a very busy weekend and I know that some of the... umm... more geriatrically challenged players... were a little tired by Sunday morning... not naming any names...
Thank you for your efforts in preparing/planning/setting up and tracking of all the events. I know there are always elements of controversy in any massive/complex event but I do hope that you realize how much your efforts are appreciated.
Thank-you, Merci and Y'all Rock!

God, frenchies are now plotting against the rest of the world. You non-french guys, are really in the merde... Well, I'm taking it as a joke: it cannot be serious. As I was a France 1 noob-member, I may have a fresh view on that bloody plot. 1. I played OCC with FR1 against FR2, and I can tell you, we did all we could to beat them. Problem was: they were bloody better than us... 2. Have a look on the two rosters. Or just consider I played in team 1, while I'm completely newbish in ladder teamer. Now explain us how we could have beaten team 2. 3. DeviousDevil, Team 2 has been called Team 2 because its creation started a few hours before Team 1. That's all. But yes, from the start, Team 2 was supposed to be the "number 1". Dream team. Meanwhile, Team 1 was oppened nearly to everybody. The proof is: me. So losing all our matches against us was just not a surprise. 4. Now, just consider that one: if we had not played so often against our dream-team, would the other teams have wun so much points?.. 5. So, do you still think the one-teamed nations were suffering disadvantage, or don't you think FR1vsFR2 matches allowed ALL other teams to advance more easily?.. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the competition, though I have no comparison to offer. I truely thank FrancoTeam 1 for allowing me to participate, though they didn't know me. I was really a millstone, and I apologize for that. ;D The atmosphere on CivFr Forums is so sweet and fun and I wish the other teams such a good site, and such cool players. Well done to the organizers and other TDs. Apparently it was not that easy to set up. But above all, Congratulations Team France 2!!
