With the power of being a moderator on the forum, you can bring forth civility. know it may be more brute force than you'd like, but this is the internet. Everything and anything will fly. When people check their manners at the door, you sometimes have to do what you have to do to enforce the level of courtesy that should be here.

Agree when I use to be a mod for another game before I got injured last year (had to resign didn't have time for therapy 5 days a week + work + be an ,chat mod and forum mod) we had a set of rules for chat ,forums and in game if you broke them there were consequences ranging anywhere from a simple warning ,kick ,temp ban or even perma ban perhaps and we kept track of such offences the best we could for multiple offenders. Your a admin/mod now and I understand your not wanting to use your new powers on your fellow ladderites ,but you must learn to seperate you DD the gamer from DD the admin/mod as DD the admin/mod needs to kick ,mute ,temp ban or even perma ban as he sees fit to keep members playing by the rules.

Sorry to hear about DD, but how about we would get a admin who is really playing this game and who is online! You never have a Admin when you need one and we have much more admins then in the time of PTW ore C3C but in that time always some one been online but today you can be lucky if one is online per day.. that cant be and whats about our EU admin never seen her online except CCC, so if you don't any time (what is ok because real life is more importen then a game) then please step back and let those step up who would have time and enjoy to do it So that this Ladder wouldn't been that wildwildwest and we would get faster and better support ( and don't worry i don't mean me )

There is only 1 player and i mean 1 player who would be the right one for that job, but i am not sure if NERO ( yes you bud!) would do that job! I don't need to say why.... we all know why he would be the right one

This is no attack on any Admin most of you did a great job, but just wane show you the facts
SPM: is playing most of all Admins about 2-3 times the week but just night time of EU
CS: can only play 1 day the week is like SPM is only pretty late time for EU online if he is online
Magzi: hasn't played the last 25 days and I only saw her on the last CCC since she became a admin to take the slot from Islo
FriedrichPsitalon: we all know he has at the moment less time witch is ok but to be objective i need also to show him on the list, last game 29 days!
Nealcain, Dustydraggon and WarningU2 , aren't even ladder but are ladder admins, so they admining some thing they aren't playing ore not as ladder!
And Avogadro, well couldn't find him looks he change his name again but so fare i know him he isn't playing more then SPM more like CS one time per week!
So how should we get help if non are available .. we shouldn't close our eyes and ask us we we are so much less players like in the time of PTW ore C3C, this doesn't mean its the admins fault but for sure it has to do some thing about it.
This ladder is dieing, if we don't change some thing now it will be to late to hold this ladder alive. Its funny to see that on civ3player ladder are often more games played then on this one!
But again this is now attack, i only wanted to show why i would like to see more active admins to hold this ladder alive and let it grow!
peace

What do mean I am not ladder ... ? Germania please check your facts before stating them in public. I only do this because I think this community is the only way to have a chance of an enjoyable game. If I am not playing it is no reflection on my dedication to the CIV community. Devoting several hours to a game online is just not my cup of tea ... I'm sorry if you don't feel I have the qualifications to do this. Not being active in many ways actually helps my impartiality. I sometimes need a understanding of the problems that a player has and occassionally I will play a game ... even a non ladder game but really don't see I have to justify my position to you.

CIV4 is nothing like C3C, in terms of admins required IMO.
C3C, had alot of gray areas, for example when it skips turns, these required admin decisions. But CIV4 dont have these issues, the biggest issue that happens in CIV4 is people cant reconnect to the game. These do not require admin intervension.
I personally dont see the need for active admins, as long as they handle stuff like non-reports and resolve the few issues that do crop-up, then its totally fine.
What would more active admins really change? The only thing i expect/want from admins is good fair decision making.

I would suggest that playing games is not a good measuring stick of whether an admin is doing a good job for the ladder. In fact in the past some admins have played to much and not done all the other things that have to happen to make the ladder run. Yes I can only play games on the weekends, but if you ask any new player they can tell you that there invites were not delayed more than a day at most.
Yes we likely can use a new admin and a euro would not hurt, but the first concern for a new admin is having the right abilities and not were they live.

Again this is no attack U2, you invest allot of time for this and specially for the older ladders, but i only wanted to show how hard is to get help by admins and that so less are online.. I agree no one should invest all time being online but it should be always at least 1 available for question and help! And about not ladder, well i never saw you ever playing and i didn't found you as member at myleague, maybe only my fault, if so sorry

I think I have to agree with Germania on the new European admin bit. I don't live in any of the European time zones (I live in the Pacific Time Zone). The activity of European players on this ladder, at least I feel, warrants there being another European admin. I believe there are probably a few issues that such an admin would be able to resolve for the European players. I get the feeling that some of the European players may feel like they are under-represented.

And about not ladder, well i never saw you ever playing and i didn't found you as member at myleague, maybe only my fault, if so sorry Apology accepted. I actually have been making an effort to be available in the lobby ... every time I do my non reports I open up C4F (CIV4Fans aka CIV4France) ;D ... but I seldom see any ladder players ... I see the same old pleas ... get in my game ... no get in my better game ... you ahole you left my game ... you ahole you are gay and so on and so. Rarely do I see anyone assoc with the ladder. It is certaintly not like the old days. Nor do I see anyone professing to tell anyone to join the ladder. So I have occassionally put forward the hey join the ladder but am promptly told hey you ahole you are gay ... so I leave.
