Lestat, when we realize we know nothing only then can we truly begin to learn. Not sure who wrote it or if I got the quote exact or if anyone wrote it at all but it is incredible poignant in my opinion. I'm sure one day when you're merrily daydreaming it will hit you like an epiphany and all will become as clear as day. Let me ask you this question to maybe nudge you in the right direction. Why did you pick the most flamboyant vampire of all time as your nickname? No one said that but socrates said the only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing Which means necro/ascen is very wise
The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.: -William Shakespeare. Your probably mixing up the two somewhere? Or at least he thinks he is

Lestat, I'm curious, have you ever read The Vampire Chronicles by Ann Rice? I personally, wouldn't consider it very macho.(And I would think anyone who's seen the movie, Interview With a Vampire, wouldn't think so either.) I'll let everyone here be the judge. I get no joy in doing this but you somewhat forced my hand. This passage is from the book Tale of the Body Thief and the character Lestat is written in the first person.
I pulled a loose cotton T-shirt out of my little suitcase, but I didn't put it on . I sat down on the bed beside him. And then I bent down and kissed his face gently, as I had in New Orleans, liking the feel of his roughly shaven beard, just as I liked that sort of thing when I was really Lestat and I would soon have that strong masculine blood inside.
I moved closer to him, when suddenly he grasped my hand, and I felt him gently push me away.
"Why, David?" I asked him.
He didn't answer. He lifted his right hand and bushed my hair back out of my eyes.
"I don't know," he whispered. "I can't. I simply can't"
He got up gracefully, and went outside into the night.
I was too furious with pure stymied passion to do anything for a moment. Then I followed him out. He had gone down on the sand a ways and he stood there alone, as I had done before.
I came up behind him.
"Tell me, please, why not?"
I don't know," he said again. "I only know I can't. I want to. Believe me, I do. But I can't. My past is...so close to me." He let out a long sigh, and for a while was silent again. Then he went on. "My memories of those days are so clear. It's as if I'm in India again, or Rio. Ah, yes, Rio. It's as if I am that young man again."
I knew I was to blame for this. I knew it, and that it was useless to say apologetic words. I also sensed something else. I was an evil being, and even when I was in this body, David could sense the evil.
I heard David say something to me, but I didn't really catch the words. I looked up slowly, pulling myself out of my thoughts, and I saw that he had turned to face me, and I realized that his hand was resting gently on my neck. I wanted to say something angry-Take your hand away, don't torment me-but I didn't speak.
"No, you're not, that's not it," he whispered. "It's me, don't you understand. It's my fear! You don't know what this adventure has meant to me! To be here again in this part of the great world-and with you! I love you. I love you desperately and insanely, I love the soul inside you, and don't you see, it's not evil. It's not greedy. But it's immense. It overpowers even this youthful body because it is your soul, fierce and indomitable and outside time-the soul of the true Lestat. I can't give into is. I can't... do it. I'll lose myself forever if I do it, as surely as if... as if..."
He broke off, too shaken obviously to go on. I'd hated the pain in his voice, the faint tremor undermining its deep firmness. How could I ever forgive myself? I stood still, staring past him into the darkness. The lovely pounding of the surf and the faint clacking of the coconut palms were the only sounds. How vast were the heavens; how lovely and deep and calm these hours just before dawn.
That's not the first time he tries to seduce David and its not the last. Would you like me to go on about this "macho" Lestat you have name yourself after. There are many more examples of this character's elegant and flamboyant nature.

Patch is coming soon I hear, maybe he's busy? Even more importantly I've seen three people get banned and not one of them actually has got banned which is rather odd? Anne Rice probably has a thing about gay men it's uncommon in women but not unheard of Being Macho actually is about exhibiting masculine traits, agressiveness, power, control, you can be gay and be macho. We've already mentioned to Lestat that his persona is bisexual though so I wouldn't bother going there. My avatar is a 3000 year old dead chick with an affinity to being ignored, I wouldn't read too much into that

What is macho? That depends on which side of the border you come from. "Es muy macho," the women in my family nod approvingly, describing a man they respect. But in the United States, when women say, "He's so 'macho,'" it's with disdain. The Hispanic "macho" is manly, responsible, hard-working, a man in charge, a patriarch. A man who expresses strength through silence. What the Yiddish language would call a "mensch." The American "macho" is a chauvinist, a brute, uncouth, selfish, loud, abrasive, capable of inflicting pain, and sexually promiscuous. In Spanish, "macho" ennobles Latin males. In English it devalues them. This pattern seems consistent with conflicts ethnic minority males experience in the U.S. Typically the cultural traits other societies value don't translate as desirable characteristics in America. ENUF ?
