Z> I've never read of ABS Technology, might be a "noname" graphic card (?) (nonames doesnt really mean they have no brand names at all, but this kind of name) its the store.... at least i think so. well honostley zhenon, to get a good desktop without the hassle of al the looking fo what i did for a laptop. yim cs till he goes mad and he will give you a computer ths=ats you should buy. he is ALWAYS on yim basically so you can ask him whenever. immo Dont take this the wrong way, but dont you think that would be pretty annoying in the long run? Having people hammering your door down every minute you are online... Also for 1449$ you can buy a small supercomputer. Athlon64 X2 cpu, 500gig storage, 2 gig ram and 7800GTX?

I decided on a barebones computer. In the next month I'll get a 6600GT and a 1 gb stick of RAM added to it. I have my DVD-ROM and a CD-RW drive to add to it and I have a 22" TruFlat monitor too.
The upside is that I can upgrade to 939 pin Athlon FX 57 with this motherboard. The downside is that it's AGP and only supports single channel RAM.
Oh and here's the best part: It only cost me $376

It's the type of motherboard -- From what I can tell, it requires a special inexpensive converter plug also made by ASRock. The $376 price is the total with assembly, taxes, and shipping. I think that the motherboard I picked is a little more expensive than your Newegg one. I picked this one so that I could continue to upgrade it for a few years. Hopefully I chose well Thanks Yilar, further advice is welcome. RANDOM: Are those nVidia 7800 GTXs AGP? and are they at least 128 bit (i think they are, but I don't have time to look them up)? Also, i would only want one of them, not both..... but I'm not even sure if I was wanting to spend $350.

Hmm, good luck with that comp. I'd still go with the: AMD64 3200 1gig (2x512) pc3200 120-160gig sata2 asrock 939dual 6600gt
7800GTX is the best videocard and together with your cheap budget computer, it will never get a chance to preform at its maximum. Only people with too much cash or serios slowness replace their 7800GTX atm, especially with the 7800GTX 512mb version.
EDIT: 7800GTX is pci-e, as are all newer videocards...

They are PCI Express and ... well here is a reveiw www.firingsquad.com/hardware/evga_e-geforce_7800_gtx_review/ I just am antsy to upgrade again and the offer is out to all. But good luck in your venture, building a new comp always gets me in a good mood. Also have a 3.2 P4 CPU and and Audigy 2 for interested parties.

Yeah that would have been a sweet setup.... but I'm still a little poor after xmas and rather than wait another couple of months (damn car notes), I went with something I could use immediately (my old comp's hardware will temporarily work in the meantime). Thanks anyway Random.
