I strongly feel it should be a rule not to kick a new ladder member from any games and to allow them into games when he or she requests to play, the fact that they have a low rank or is unranked does not mean the member is not worthy to enjoy an awesome game with awesome people.
example: Think of boxing one fighter has 500 amature fights 0 pro fights while the other has been a pro with 50 fights with very little amature skills. Who is the true underdog.? Maybe it's the ladder member maybe it's the newb. Isn't that the point of ladder to truley test your skills with a variety of players and there styles. And not be racist towards other members.
Were's the family like bond? Is ladder actually no better than nonladder? Am I the only one that gets kicked or gets a sry you can't play your a newb attitude? Well I am standing up for all of us little guys & to all of you big guys- let us play your games!!!
So I ask for this small request to be considered and re thought by all.
Respectfully,
soulja173

We do, as a ladder, need to welcome new players into our games. But I can understand people being picky in teamers, but in a ffa or cton there's no reason not to welcome new players to the ladder and show them the good sportsmenship that we are suppose to be providing. Otherwise we risk losing the source of our future.

I don't think any noobs will be kicked from CTON's or FFA's. The problem is with teamers. If there are 9 expert players and 1 noob in a 5vs5 game it will make teams very unbalanced.
Usually a noob will only get kicked from a game if the host can't find somebody of equal skill level to balance teams. Nobody wants to play a game that is a guaranteed loss because you get stuck with the noob.

some noobs are actually quite good players (unlike me) ;D at least give them a chance to prove themselves before calling them noobs

I hear you did some wanton killing in a teamer today soulja. Impressive, hopefully it was Mookie's words of advice that helped you out on that. If you need more tips and stuff, don't hesitate to ask.

..... well it was fear that inspired me to go very agressive that game. Why fear??? This is why... First ladder teamer, I get to play Yae!! All is going well I get Pikes up to stop the camel rush I'm actually doing well....until Mookie stages an attack I've never dreamed of happening. Turn timer around 10 seconds left, I'm getting ready to have my workers build some workshops and work a food tile. When out of no-were in a blink of an eye, three types of UU's double move into my land. Musketeers, camel archers & consiquators in stacks of 10 plus. couple turns later I try to withdraw from ladder but it wouldnt let me,lolz.

Why that elite players just dont host pre-defineded teamers ? Eg. 5elites vs 5noobs? Think that will be funy... And this reny teamer are always same. All depend of resources and your civ , placement on map and support of ur back-temmates and of course of your play.

Why that elite players just dont host pre-defineded teamers ? Eg. 5elites vs 5noobs? Think that will be funy... I think it will NOT be funny. Kick the newb hahaha!! ...? No, i think that "Kick the newb bwahahaha!!" sounds better ;D I strongly feel it should be a rule not to kick a new ladder member from any games and to allow them into games when he or she requests to play, the fact that they have a low rank or is unranked does not mean the member is not worthy to enjoy an awesome game with awesome people. I think that it's better to read an existing rules first before asking for changes in the rules users.igl.net/mlp471/Rules.htmlSpecific Ranks : It is illegal to refuse matches based on Ladder rank. You may request a specific rank or range when advertising for a challenge, but you may not refuse a valid challenge simply because the challenger is not the rank you are wanting to play. However, in teamers a team balance is more important (after all, there are 9 more players who want a good game as well). Also, sometimes we're waiting for players who should come in several minutes or who has some troubles joining. That means that teamer may be actually full even if there are some empty slots in it.

Also, sometimes we're waiting for players who should come in several minutes or who has some troubles joining. That means that teamer may be actually full even if there are some empty slots in it. So very true. Whenever I host a game the first thing I do is invite everyone on my buddy list to join. If the game needs a few more players I'll hit up everyone I know logged on to c4f. Most players don't like to play a game larger than 5v5, and a lot of the time all of the slots in a game are already filled by invites -- it's just that people sometimes need to restart civ or whatever, but they're on their way. Unfortunately pretty often by the time someone asks for the password all the slots are already handed out. My advice -- patience! If you are looking to get into the Renaissance teamers, read the strategy guides and information here on the forums, try playing some single player Renaissance games to get a feel for the era, and play in some Renaissance ctons to further improve your game. And keep asking to get into those games! Eventually you'll impress someone in a cton, or there will be an open spot in the game, or whatever ... In the end, once you get into a few of the team games, show that you can listen to advice, follow direction from your captain, and perform well, you'll get onto peoples' buddy lists and start getting invites to games!

Actually, it's better to add others to your own buddy list by himself. Then you'll be added to other's lists as well. Besides, you need to add someone to buddies to send him private messages so private conversations is a good way to be sure that you're in other player's buddy lists. And it's important to be in other's buddy lists if you want to play teamers.

I know that this sucks and believe me i really don't like to do that, but i lost to many games to early because a the new player didn't realize how aggressive the other ones plays and they been always surprise that they get so fast attacked! And i always let a player in if he says he want to learn and he will do what i say in the game, because those players gone be fast vets, but those who mean they all know every thing and don't listen and then die cant really believe that i let them again in a game! My tip is play first only ctons like 10 games, get the feeling for MP because thats very different to SP, and they join a teamer and listen to your cap, he will show you some new suspect witch you maybe didn't know and how your game play get faster and better! You will have much more fun at this way
