A lot of the event start times are rough on West Coast American players -- Bonsai, DeyReepher, and Ironclad have events starting at 5am and 7am Pacific Time on both Saturday and Sunday. Pretty early for them ... but for the most part the events are spread out so that everyone has events scheduled at bad times for them. Europeans have crazy start times for Friday's events as they've already mentioned. Perhaps the most fair solution is to rotate the events each CCC? That way everyone gets a chance to have their favorite events benefit their time zone . Some events can be rotated for sure, but the ironman is likely not one of them, we start it early on saturday so that this marathon match has all day and night to play if required, to try starting that on friday night would mean a secound match that runs all night. Move 1 (at least) of the 4 Sunday morning events over to a US Saturday evening next time. It's stupid to have a 20 hour break between the start of games and then have 4 Sunday events seperated by an hour.
I can't see the Euro clans liking 4 games seperated by an hour anyway. It's not likely they can feild teams for all those matches.

I like the idea of speading the events out more. It is hard to play events on sunday with them being 1 hour apart. I'm in PDT and frankly I work 50-60 hours a week and would like to sleep in every once in awhile and Sundays are a nice day to sleep in. But I can funtion on 2-3 hours of sleep. So yes start the events on Friday and just keep them coming every 3-4 hours all weekend. That way any given event will favor someone at pretty much any given timezone. TY

"What would be the point of allowing two clans tied for eighth some how share the 8th spot? It just lengthens the event unnecessarily and gives each of them virtually no chance to advance." Not sur that I have well explained my point, the team which has lost the draw can subscribe to the event only if there is a spot available. It allowed to have the eigth spot filled, and it's fun for them. I agree it's more complex, so maybe it's a bad idea. I'm ok with both solution chris.

As far as I'm conncerned I'd like to see 3rd and 4th place playoffs in the tourney.
Why share 3rd? They are worse than me, they go 4th.
P.S Is their any way to change this naff background?

We tried that once, long ago, but it only ties up clan players even longer and drags out events even more. But if it somehow becomes very popular we can look at that option. CS

3 weeks to go so IMHO it's the right time to discuss next CCC events.

I was wondering why it is that in ironman we can pick civs (giving obvious advantage to the last winner of the ccc) but in the cton and some teamer events for that matter, we can't (meaning some luck is involved). Neither random, nor most successful previous clan picks civ seems ideal. Hm, not sure what would work though.

i think civ picks should be allowed in ALL events and we should be allowed to pick the same civ if we like ;D
